CON Report 6-21-03

Here I go again, lots of stuff for this week, lots of awards to go through too! So let’s get started…

DB News

-DB-wide AWOL check is over, I hope everyone remembered to login!!

-Independence game medals came out this week, check the medals section of my report to see what Taldryan members placed in events!

-This week on the zone there is a XvT WoW. CF’s will be awarded for wins and losses, so get out there and play some matches! (For more info see the main DB news page)

-Unfortunately yesterday OHC Sharad resigned from his position, and is leaving the DB all together. Sharad has done a ton of work for Clan Taldryan and we are all sad to see him go. (To see his resignation speech, go to djb.org)

-There is a new HM, everyone congratulate KPN Kaiann on his appointment!! (To see his appointment speech, go to djb.org)

-Mav is on leave for 10 days, and FireFox just returned from leave.

-New June KMT’s have been released by the KHP! The story topic for June is “Judgment” and the poem topic is “The Seven Deadly Sins”. And don’t forget the Exodus competition, which ends June 21st!

-Interclub Training Nights will be held every Saturday, at 4pm, in #Outerrim, get in there and represent Taldryan!

• “Project: Restored Glory” has started! It will run until Sunday, June 29th. The website can be found at http://www.manicflat.freeserve.co.uk/project/. Just enter the site and be sure to read the “Information” and “About” links so you know all the rules. Just a quick few notes here and they are important. PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL TALDRYAN MEMBERS. If you are in Taldryan right now, you must submit an entry for at least ONE event of any sort (open or order-specific). Another note is that you can do any event you would like, regardless of what your order is. If you’re a Krath but want to fly in the Sith ladder, go for it! There has already been a lot of participation, especially on the run-ons, so get out there and submit to events!!
  

-For the last two weeks Betja and Freshjive have been serving as the Consuls Honor Guard or “Cohors Praetoria”. Well there time is up and it is time to announce the guards for the next two weeks…(drum roll please)….and they are Shaithis and Crix!! Both of them have had outstanding levels of participation in Restored Glory from day 1, congratulations!!

-If any of you have tried, you’ve probably noticed that the Taldryan site is down. This is because it uses minos.net hosting, and all of minos.net is down. It should be working again soon (according to the EH news page), but just in case I emailed Sharad to get the info for the site so we can find a new host for it. So if you can think of anywhere we can host the site, let me know!

-Are you on IRC and bored? Try joining #archanis, #dinaari, and #ektrosis! They’re great places to meet other clan members and to chat, hope to see everyone there!
