Consul's Opening Words,

New Layout? I thought I'd reduce the huge graphics and endless unspecified waffle, and instead make the report all the more easy to skim read, effectively meaning, this paragraph is more a chunk of random waffle, so you can skim it/skip it if you so choose :P Well, school's finally finished for the Summer, so I'll be around a lot for the next nine and a half weeks, meaning that we'll actually see some stuff getting done. The past month has been hard, and this has been seen across the board with a lot of people being on leave currently, including multiple battleteam leaders, house and clan summit. The good thing though, by the end of this week I think everyone should be back from leave...with the possible exception of Malik, as I don't remember the exact dates of his leave of absence, so in a weeks time expect some serious stuff, probably in the form of a reasonably large competition.

Clan Related Developments

Since it's been a fortnight, I thought I'd update you on what is happening in respect of the structure and such. In short, nothing until the Dark Council now decide how it's going to be done, the Clan's have given their input, so expect a wait before the Council finalise any proposals and make sure that we don't do anything stupid that we'd later regret. Still, expect major changes, most likely by the end of Summer/early Autumn.

As for more specific Clan stuff, with me free to do as I please for the next two months, I'm going to get a fair number of things sorted that I've been rather lax with and have put off, first and foremost: The Clan Website. I'm tired of having an out of date...well, not necessarily out of date, just...boring site. This is going to change, so I hope to simplify it substantially, and cram all the complex mumbo jumbo into a "Clan Manual", so that the website itself is easier for newer members to understand, follow, and so on.

Awards and such...Clan Artisans!

The Artisans has come and gone, and, admittedly, not much happened in between. We had four participants, which is not good. The worst thing, for a competition which involved a lot of fiction not one Krath participated...that's a very bad sign. I won't lie to you all, it's likely that if these structural changes ever come in one House is going to be in the firing line...don't let it be your House, so what you do now affects the future...bare that in mind.

That aside, the entries that I did recieve were of excellent quality, so my congratulations to the following!

That means that J'Rai got an Emerald, a Sapphire and an Amethyst Crescent, Ksian got two Amethysts and two Sapphires (that's Crescents, not Blades :P), Malik got a Sapphire and two Emeralds and Manesh got an Amethyst Crescent, so my congratulations to all of you!!

Competitions...Vampyre's Fold

Amazingly the Run-On has had some life put back into it...fitting seeing as how it's about Force Vampires, so let's get this thing finished, remember, there WILL be awards...and I'm starting to think about giving serious consideration to promoting most of the members who are taking part, so if you want to do something to earn yourself some awards, just go to the Naga Sadow board at http://www.chaoslogic.com/db/message_board and post on the Vampyre's Fold thread.

Inter-Club Training Night

I thought I'd throw in a promotion for the Inter-Club Training Night which is still going on, remember, there are a lot of Clusters of Fire going for this, and, this is something that might interest you: It's not just Star Wars games. As taken from an announcement by the Lord Chamberlain:

I talked with the leadership of the RS.  We're going to keep these events around.  However, I want as many of you as possible to stop in and play a game if you have it.  We support a huge amount of platforms, and hell, if theres a game you want to play you can join into the channel and try and get a match of it started.  Right now we "officially" support XvT, XWA, JK, JO, SWGB, and SW: Fleet Command.  However, if you've got BF1942 or C&C Generals or some other popular multiplayer game, even if it isn't SW Themed, and you want to play it... Show up and ask around!  I'll still get you CFs according to the formula we have been using.  (1 win = 1 CF, 3 losses = 1 CF.)

So, that means not only can you play ANY game you have, but LOSING GETS YOU MEDALS! So show up, and fly, or fight, or shoot, or whatever it is you happen to end up doing...the choice is yours.

An even better way to earn medals: The Week of War competitions. You get TWO Clusters of Fire per win...yes, TWO. You also get half a Cluster of Fire per loss...so TWO LOSSES GETS YOU A CLUSTER OF FIRE! That's all I have to say for this week, hopefully with the Summit all back from leave things will pick up in the next fortnight, it has been a little dormant this past month, so I do hope that the usual summer rush of fresh recruits and activity starts up.
