Consul's Opening Stuff,

Bit a let down this week after the fun of last, though, I suppose that might just be in a relative sense after such a good couple of weeks. Still, you've all been informed my concerns about the activity of this Clan, so bare that in mind...really, bare that in mind.

Still, there is a lot going on, and loads of awards up for grabs. I don't remember a time when there was so much available to do. Your Quaestors are putting a lot of work into your Houses at the moment, for your benefit, don't just throw that back in their face. They're doing this for you, so take part in the competitions. You joined this club, so take part in some way or another, that is why you are all here.

Brotherhood Wide Developments

Only three major announcements from this week, the first being that the DB wide AWOL check is over, so prepare to be saying goodbye to a few of the people on the roster who have failed to respond.

The second is the Obelisk Ranks Poll on www.darkjedibrotherhood.org. This is for everybody to vote in and you need to vote continually on all the polls to ensure your say gets carried through to the end. This will affect every one of you, even if you are not Obelisk it will affect your fellow Clanmates, so think about them when you're making your decision.

Most importantly of all though the Antei Combat Centre has opened! This is a great chance for you to earn some Clusters of Fire and to have some fun fighting your friends, or anyone else for that matter. The ACC is a very unique form of combat, and writing, so go to http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/acc/ and show some support for your Clan by having a match with somebody.

Clan Related Developments

Biggest news of this week comes the appointment of a new Aedile of Ludo Kressh: Congratulations to Warlord Manesh! Manesh is a veteran member of the House having served for two years as Quaestor in the past, so I hope you all welcome him back.

Vampyre's Fold is now officially over. My thanks go out to everyone who helped make it a successful. In the end it had a nice, interesting plot and led to some good character development for a number of people. I'll be putting in promotion and/or medal requests for those members who helped make it a success.

The Clan Website has also been mildly updated, and there is a new HLK site in the works by the newly appointed Aedile Manesh. So expect to see some nice developments in both these areas over the coming weeks.

I also released the FINAL DRAFTS of the Orian System and Force Powers this week. Since nobody has voiced any serious problems I am currently in the process of compiling them for final submission to the Council.

Competitions and such...

Though there is no major change from last week (though we are now fully endorsing the XvT Week of War [multiplayer] competitions - thats 2 CFs per win, 1 CF per loss!!! - too) there are still LOADS of competitions for you to take part in, so don't neglect the oppertunities you're being given at the moment. Very few people have had the chances to earn medals that the Summit are giving you at the moment, so take advantage of these easy oppertunities to earn some medals.

I'm told nobody has taken part in this months HLK Flying Competition...that means you could get FIRST PLACE just by flying the mission! That's one single XWA mission, can you really afford to just ignore that easy medal? This extends to all the Orders too, no competition is House specific, so Krath and Obelisk, any of you owning XWA can take part too.

And for those of you who really don't have time, then just spend two minutes writing a few entries for the Rest in Pieces competition. There are near twenty Crescents being given out for this competition alone! And on top of that, your task is just to make Trev laugh...that means you might only need to write a word!

Consul's Closing Words,

As I said to begin with, this week wasn't as good as last, but, it really does depend how we all look at it. I have to say, the sooner we are allowed to condense back to Independant House status the better, as it can only bring good to this Clan. Still, we need to get there first, so don't neglect your responsibilities, not to me, not to your Quaestors, not to the Council, but to your Clan, and to the people you are both friends with and serve with. It's everyone's duty to make this Clan a great place by working together.

I don't care if we have 200 active members, 20 active members or 2 active members, if they're active and enjoying themselves that is all that matters.

Just remember that when I get angry at the people who are inactive, if I shout then you'll know if it's at you, so don't worry, for the majority of people are doing their own little thing and I don't mind. The ones who I will not tolerate are those that seem to believe they can get along replying to AWOL checks...not true. The month of August is going to see a few changes, hopefully that will solve some of these problems, but until then, just lets see everyone who has time - and this is the Summer, don't pretend you don't - taking part in the huge array of competitions that are currently available.
