Dark dudes and dudettes,

As I write this report I am watching an illegal copy of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Cool.

This is my thirteenth report during my second period as Consul of Clan Scholae Palatinae. 13. Unlucky for some. This week has been pants for me. It started off crap when my computer got the MSBlast virus. What a bundle of laughs that was. Luckily I can download all sorts of crap at wok and got the fix and the patch without too much hassle (if you discount the two days with no home internet). Yay! Happy in the knowledge of having a healthy computer again I go and play football only to go over on my ankle. Ouch. Uber-ouch. One visit to Casualty (that's ER for you yank kids) to tell me no damage but I need to rest it for a day. Cool! A day of work! Not so good, it turns out. Started feeling pretty crap. No matter what the assurances from my girlfriend that I wasn't dying I still couldn't help but feel that this bout of flu was gonna have text-books written about it because it was so painful and also had the added symptom that it sapped the victim's will to live. Even looking at my white cat hurt my eyes so being on the internet was well out. But all is well now. Went running this morning so the ankle's better, and even tee internet is fine for my ocular thangs.

Lorad sent out his report this week but failed to mention two things. One of those things I'll let him off with, as he may not have been aware at the time. The other, if he had mentioned it may have been self-gratifying and all that crap, but hey-ho. If you hadn't already realised Lorad was awarded a Grand Cross of the Dark Side this week. Woo-hoo! This is for both winning the Clan Best of Order Award three months in a row, and generally being a superstar where all are concerned. The next thing (the forgivable one) is that he has also been promoted to Dark Jedi Knight. When he was given the position of Quaestor (about a month ago) I was told that he was only allowed to be promoted up to Jedi Hunter until he had proved himself. In my eyes, he has done this in spades, and thoroughly deserves both the promotion and the award. Drinks are on Lorad. That's drinks PLURAL! At least three for each person. Anyone who does not drink should get two Alderanian Ales and a Corellian Brandy and pass them towards the Consul.

I've been speaking with Goatham on IRC and he's challenged CSP and CEK to a feud. All three Clans are (roughly) the same size and so I've said yes. Then MSBlast kicked my offline and shut down my compter for the first time and I haven't seen any news on it since. I will be grabbing him by the clinkers as soon as I can and kicking some info out of him, so start getting ready

Oh yeah. Skulron joined the Clan, did a bundle of courses and Magus has promoted him. Yay! Looks like he could start contending Lorad for the Clan "Nothing-better-to-do-than-DB-crap" Award.

Sauroman's sending a load of gypos and scousers into Rohan to kick ass. Weepy little bit where a mum sends her kids off to safety. Lame

The DB now has a member's photo section. Go upload yours today and leave me a message under mine telling me that I'm gorgeous. Also, then let Jac know he looks cheesy. As well as that, information on gaming Guilds in the DB has been released. Check it out on the news page, and see if you think one of the MP games you play should be recognised by the whole DB.

Oh yeah just one more thing to let you all know about. Krail has been in touch, and sent me the results to his pick-up line competition! Woo-hoo! Winners below, and I've requested the medals! I like requesting medals and promotions so go out there, do crap and give me a reason to do it.

Competitions:

CSP Invitational Competition.

Mage has launched a two tier competition for Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast which will run for the whole of August, and seeing as Mage has done a runner, will be run by Lorad Desmos. The Jacomeister has posted the new Order details on DJB.org. If you haven't looked at them they can be found at this link: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dgm/proposals/Proposal%20-%20Orders%20Overhaul.rtf . All the Consuls and DC'ers have been speaking about this constantly over the past couple of weeks, but the main change is that most DB competitions are not going to be Order specific. Yes, it may be FPS based and run by an Obbie, but that does not mean that Krathies and Sithites are not allowed to play. If you need any more details on what the full extent of the changes entail, are worried about the direction your Order is going in, then let me know and I will do all I can to clear all matters up.

Clan Best of Order Awards

What I am asking for is job descriptions based on the names decided upon in the MB thang. I'll also want a story about a day in the life, covering all three Awarded people in one job.

For those of you who don't know hat I mean, this is two separate pieces, each with it's own awards. Six medals between everyone. Go to it!

Completion date for both is 29th August.

Inter-Club Training Event - Cool!

Mav has organised a training event which should become a regular event. Part of this will be the clubs we have allied with, the Star Vipers and the Rebel Squadrons being the main ones, but there are a few others too. What is going to happen is that on Saturday May 17th at 4pm EST (think that's 9pm GMT) in Undernet channel #Outerrim there will be loads of other people waiting to take part in every multiplayer Star Wars game you can think of. Krath Monthly Topics:

Even through they are Krath MT's, you Sithies and Obbies can do them too, and it would be good to see you do them. This months topics are a little bit different from normal and the details on each are;

A Parody Contest. Write a parody of a song, changing the lyrics to something Dark Jedi-based. This is a fun contest, considering the majority of submissions will be comedic in nature. All submissions must include the 'based on' information (for instance 'Coruscant Woman' based on the song 'L.A. Woman' by The Doors). Songs can be submitted to Erryc ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) either as a .doc file, or if someone is particularly crafty as a sound file (.wav/.mp3).
With the DB settling into its new home on Antei, and many Clans creating new homeworlds, who else is out there?

This is something that will probably be developed a lot in the coming months, but to kick it off, I'd like you to create a race that is living out in the unknown regions. Give me physical/cultural/political descriptions and tell me a bit about their environment. Also, why have we not heard of them before? Thanks to KE Anshar Kahn for the idea for this KMT. Fight Nights!

A series of JK competition nights have been worked out by the Shadow dude, full details on the DJB.org news page so it's easier for you to read it from there instead of my adding it here. The best way to get into a fight (apart from stealing my alcamahol supplies) is to sit in the Obelisk channel on IRC (funnily called #Obelisk) and shout at people until they fight you.
