Greetings once again, House Gladius, and welcome to the third report that I get to bore you all with! That's right, I said....so, be bored! That's an order!

Anyways...relatively quiet week. Havn't heard much from you guys this week, which is ok I GUESS, given that school's just around the corner for most of you(unless, like me, you've graduated high school and not yet attending college or anything), and you're all fretting about having to get up a 6am to be ready for said instutionalized education.

But, yeah. School sux0rz.

In other news...if you're not in a Phyle yet, I urge you to get in touch with and one of the TETs. Ciara is TET of the Mystics, and Telona's TET of the Wizards. Get in touch with me, as I said, and one of the aforementioned Phyle leaders, and we'll get you set up. Both Phyles could use members, and, ideally, I'd like to get even numbers in each. That way, inter-Phyle comps could be more balanced. But, that's just my idealistic banter..

No new members lately. We did have a one ACO(I think that's his rank) Cadre join us, but he was talked back into going back to House Acclivis Draco of Clan Scholae Palatinae. So...yeah. Just a little bit of trivia.

Now, to address something that means a great deal to me. If you've been reading and following the House message board this past week, you've probably come across some posts that I've made. The ones that I'd like to highlight are on the Gladius Run-on. Now, you'll probably notice that they're far from anything even REMOTELY happy...in fact, the first few posts could be described as being written in a suicidal, depressed, manic state of mind. The great majority of you may be confused as to why I wrote my posts in such a manner, and to understand them, you would have to know about my personal RL life and the history I have with a certain member of this House. I won't go in to detail in this, but, if you're curious enough, drop me a line and I can fill you in.

What I would like to bring to the attention of the House with all that, is a simple fact that has been brought to my attention in the days following my posts: I couldn't have asked for a better House. I was utterly surprised and taken aback by some of the e-mails I got from a few of you guys. I wasn't expecting to get any response at all, other than maybe as disinterested "get over it". But, that's not what I got. What I got was...the best thing I could have asked for. I got people telling me that if I ever needed someone to talk to, that they would be there. In fact, one of these individuals even said that they respect me. Respect...something else I wasn't expecting. Yeah, I know, I'm hard on myself...but, that's just the way I am. Some may not like it, but I've grown up bashing on myself, and I havn't seen any reason to stop, I guess.

But, anyways, enough of that. I would like to thank these individuals now, before the House, so that their service and caring to me will not go unknown to their comrades.

Spears: Thanks buddy. We talk about baseball, we talk about girls, and we talk about life in general, it seems. Your having respect in me is a great shock to this self-depreciating fool, and I give you a heart-felt thanks for your words.

Ma'arkhan: Honestly, you were the last person that I expected to offer assistance in my trying emotional times. That's something that I havn't recieved from anyone in your situation, and that, too, has taken me by great shock. Your words alone have stopped me from considering you a rival, and I thank you deeply for that. I try valiantly to not let my personal RL life spill over into the DB, and you've probably given me the biggest push in that more positive direction. Thank you.

Telona: While you may not have talked me about this past week specifically, but we have kinda touched on the subject in our idle talking to each other about a certain poster and various anime. You, too, have offered me an ear to talk to. For a while, it seemed to me that you didn't think too highly of me...but, I guess that at times it's hard for me to seperate the character I interact with from the living person behind it. So, I thank you as well...and, I can assure you that if anything like this comes up again, you'll be hearing from me. :D

Sithie: Boy, what can I say? Ever since I joined Gladius, you've been nothing but helpful in any and all aspects. Through your constant reinforcement, I now have a higher opinon of my own skills as a writer, and of myself in general. Before I met you and started talking to you, and you started talking to me about my writing, I thought that I was just a mediocre writer who couldn't get anyone to read my stuff. But, that changed, and I thank you for that. I'd also like to thank you for your talking to me that first night of this whole fiasco, and for offering your administrative services as PCON in case I needed to take a few weeks off to cool off, and for your services as a friend to be someone to talk to. Thank you, Sithie.

Yeah, I know that this is getting long, but I have just a few things left to say. I'll close this whole "thank you!" thing with just a few more words. I don't normally do this, but, in reading what the above people have written to me on Monday or Tuesday night(can't remember which), I was actually in tears. Throughout the day, I was a seething pot of anger and hatred, and to see such a positive reaction in the House was just too much for me to handle. I broke down, and actually cried. So, again, thank you to those I mentioned above. I trully consider you guys friends, and hope to someday meet you in the real world.

And now, getting away from that....my comp! I've had a few entries already in the first phase, and I'm looking for more. To those who havn't submitted yet, you have until Wednesday, September 3rd to get your character histories in. Then, Phase Two starts and I won't accept any more Phase One entries. So, get cracking on those, and get them in to me!

Also, don't forget about Sithie's comp...he's still got that going.
