Time for a double report from the Shadow Academy...

First, something that I should have done a while ago: The SA crest competition. I had... uhm... two submissions. Lugh Luanna and Dalthid. Now the problem is - the winner is an absolutely great graphic but it won't ever be suitable as a SA crest on the site - it's a one Megabyte animated GIF!

So, the verdict is:

1st place: Lugh Luanna - you get your Cr-1D

2nd place: Dalthid - you get a Cr-1R.

However neither will ultimately make it to the site - Dalthid's is a good graphic but not really what I was looking for and Lugh's is just too much of a download. If anyone has an idea of how to significantly reduce the file size without losing the effect, please mail me and I'll share the graphic with you.

HRLD office - if one of you wishes to try their hand at the task of making the new crest, show yourself to me :-P

New courses - I'll have to re-mention ASP and ICQ here, although those are a few days ago they haven't been in a report yet and if someone reads only the reports, he'd miss them. So there - props to Tiss and Spears for the work!

Speaking of props to Spears - this guy does all the menial work I always need and it's just great to have someone like this assisting me. Watch out for a proposal coming your way on IRC, Spears.

A good deal of the SA restructure has been coded and I hope to do some work with JaM3z tomorrow to get it online and active. Current Apprentices, watch out, you're in for a change as you'll immediately be able to benefit from the new format!

Roleplayers: You may wonder what happened to the system we were talking of. It's got several interactions with facilities already out (ACC) and planned, and to make sure we do everything right, I'll have to withhold the release of the RPG rules until everything else is fixed and final, so tweaks to the system can be made without anyone losing their character. So please have patience. It's being done.

Finally, a call for help: The ASP and PHP courses really require some HTML knowledge and some folks just can't take them without having a HTML course first. Any takers to provide one soon ? If not, you'll all have to sit mine mwuahahahahahahahaha!
