House Report for Galthain of Satal Keto

-Recruitment is always a high priority, let’s get some fresh blood in this House.

<Vessicant sat in his quarters staring at the holographic display of the star system Satal Keto had wrested from Arcona’s grasp. He sensed that this system had much potential, it was now only a matter of time before the Clan became established and once again rose to its full glory. The Warrior smiled, Galthain would no longer be confined to the unglamorous task of convoy escort duty as it had been since the Exodus. Soon it would be the vanguard of the system’s defenses, and he would be its leader.

He picked a datapad off his lap and sneered as he looked at it. Galthain had lost a significant number of fighters in the Feud, and the post-battle salvage operations had been lackluster. Though much had been recovered intact or could be repaired, it barely covered the materiel losses, far from the overwhelming supply increase he had hoped for. More disturbing was the loss of a number of pilots, they would not be easily replaced.>

Here’s what was said of my recent award:

Very well then…. Vessicant drew his saber, ignited it, and threw it into the surprised assembly. He was usually the quiet, reserved, brooding type, but now he had “torn off the mask” and bathed the hangar bay in blood. In the end it was NOV Tal’Rasha who fell to the unexpected attack, a stern reminder to all of the dangers of being unprepared.

That better, Pred? :P

-Don’t cry for poor Bela Tal’rasa, she was dead already…disappearing back into the ether from whence she came. She was basically AWOL, practically a figment of our imaginations. Another to leave us is DJK Mark, who joined a couple of days ago, changed his order, and left for Aleema. I shot at his shuttle as it left, but I ran out of ammo just as his shields went down. GAH!

-Our House welcomes SWL Armus! I’m sure he’ll make a fine addition to our crew.

-Construction of the new Galthain website continues.

NEWS FROM THE DB IN GENERAL:

-CSK has won the Feud! CSK has won the Feud! What more can be said? To the cantina! Oh wait, I blew the budget…. Come up with 10 ways to finance buying more booze and send them to me.

• “The big big hurdle between "signed up" and "member in Clan" is the Phase 2 course - especially in the gaming orders. Without knowing folks in the DB, many newbies just don't get the needed games. Thus, Phase 2 will become an optional course - and folks get to take it after they are in their House. Instead, they can also participate in a House or Clan competition. That gets the same result.

• With this change, members will join their Clan as Apprentices. We've come full circle here.

• There will be a way to get NOV, ACO and even PRT through Shadow Academy advanced training. It's open for everyone not yet up to PRT rank, even those who graduated by the old system. (The PRT stuff will take a while to create as it will be a new course. There'll be an interim way to earn that rank - and I mean earn, not get it for free ;-) )

• Anyone currently an Apprentice can graduate either way - we however encourage you to finish your SA the old way. It'll be faster for you than to wait for the new stuff to be coded.” -KPN Kaiann

-DB membership is increasing steadily. If you know anyone who would be a good Dber, give ‘em a nudge, we could always use new recruits, try to get them into Galthain. Let’s make this a high priority. The new SA structure may help us get some people.

-The Dark Voice, could always use fiction submissions….I’ll even help you edit stuff (depending on how much time I have).

-There are always Shadow Academy courses for your enlightenment.

-You can always do some MP flying.

-Although the Sith Mission Competition itself is over, feel free to make more missions and send them to Gord. They would be greatly appreciated.
