House Report for Galthain of Satal Keto

This week’s report:

ACTIVITY:

Three people submitted for my Top Ten Comp…one was the PCON (who I can’t reward), one was your other House Leader, WW, (who submitted at the last minute), the other was our newest member, Saraii. So, only two SITH submitted…one having just stepped off the transport.

It was a simple comp, it was a 12 day long comp, and it was the first House comp we’ve had in a long while. I thought you’d be eager, Galthain. I thought you’d make up for the lackluster participation in the Feud. There was no excuse for not submitting. I’m disappointed to say the least…. PERHAPS (wink, wink) next time WILL be better.

PROMOTIONS:

Saraii got on the transport from the SA as an APP; by the time she started walking down the gangplank she was a NOV (completed character history). Congratulations again for your fine work so far.

HOUSE NEWS:

-The House Comp is over…nuff said.

-I’ll probably come up with another comp in the next week or so…nuff said.

-We welcome NOV Saraii into our ranks.

-Construction of the new Galthain website continues.

NEWS FROM THE DB IN GENERAL:

• “The big big hurdle between "signed up" and "member in Clan" is the Phase 2 course - especially in the gaming orders. Without knowing folks in the DB, many newbies just don't get the needed games. Thus, Phase 2 will become an optional course - and folks get to take it after they are in their House. Instead, they can also participate in a House or Clan competition. That gets the same result.

• With this change, members will join their Clan as Apprentices. We've come full circle here.

• There will be a way to get NOV, ACO and even PRT through Shadow Academy advanced training. It's open for everyone not yet up to PRT rank, even those who graduated by the old system. (The PRT stuff will take a while to create as it will be a new course. There'll be an interim way to earn that rank - and I mean earn, not get it for free ;-) )

• Anyone currently an Apprentice can graduate either way - we however encourage you to finish your SA the old way. It'll be faster for you than to wait for the new stuff to be coded.” -KPN Kaiann

-DB membership is increasing steadily. If you know anyone who would be a good Dber, give ‘em a nudge, we could always use new recruits, try to get them into Galthain. Let’s make this a high priority. The new SA structure may help us get some people.

COMPETITIONS AND OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO TO GET NOTICED:

• The Clan System Comp has entered its third stage. Here are the particulars:
  

“The Feud with Arcona has ended and CSK is ready to resume its exploration of our system. KAP Dalthid, at the behest of SO Gord Darkonian, has sent the three Houses of CSK on an expedition to the four furthest planets in the system: Eli' ant, Vale, Boreas and Keldor. The purpose of which will be to gather information on each planet with detailed descriptions of life forms, weather patters, landscape, environment etc--(don't forget moons).

Inevitably, this is like 4 competitions in one; the instructions below are imperative as your submission counts matter. House Leaders: your Houses have been gaining points through the processes of this system development, the winning House will be awarded a special opportunity at the culmination of the competitions. It is in your best interest to ensure that your House members follow the instructions below, as not doing so will be detrimental to how your House fairs when results are tallied.

Start Date: 9/18/2003

End Date: 10/18/2003

This should be completed in a data-type format, not a story. More like a report or a log, to be specific, so there is no need for proper structure.

Awards:

Standard Crescents for 1st-3rd.

Instructions:

Please submit data sheets for each individual planet, in four separate files. A planets' moons can be included in the main planet file. If I get submissions mailed to me they WILL be deleted, you will not get credit and it would be as if I never received it.”

Hear that? Send it to the addie Dal wants or else!

My advice is to do as much as you think necessary to get your submission noticed. This is just for RPG purposes so going excessively in-depth on the astrophysics seems a little pointless to me. Do as you wish though.

-The Dark Voice, could always use fiction submissions….I’ll even help you edit stuff (depending on how much time I have).

-There are always Shadow Academy courses for your enlightenment.

-You can always do some MP flying and earn yourselves some CFs.

-Although the Sith Mission Competition itself is over, feel free to make more missions and send them to Gord. They would be greatly appreciated.
