~House Qel-Droma Aedile Report #1~

First of all, before I say anything else, let me just get this out of the way. My reports will be unconventional. Deal with it.

Now, as I understand it, there was some controversy over me being chosen as Aedile of Qel-Droma. I once again say to you: deal with it. I was chosen for this position not because I'm a nice guy and not because I'm a people person. I was chosen for this position because I'll do the job, and do it well, regardless of what consequences I suffer. I don't expect you to like me. Hell, to be perfectly honest, by the end of my time as AED, I expect quite a few of you to hate me. I will not pamper, I will not coddle. If you are doing substandard work, or impeding the development of this House in any way, you WILL hear from me, and the words will not be nice.

However, this coin has two sides. While I am an ass, I'm perfectly capable of recognizing when people are doing good work, and rewarding them for such. Those of you who improve Qel-Droma, perform excellently in whatever task you happen to undertake, and approach things with the right attitude will not have to face the "Drill Sergeant" side of me. Instead, you'll get the "Rich Uncle", always willing to give presents for accomplishments.

I made this statement to my Tyros when I was made Tetrarch of Loreseekers, and it still holds true now that I'm Aedile: If you feel that you are truly deserving of a medal or promotion, approach me about it, and we'll discuss it. This does not mean that every time you manage to scrape a passing grade in a Shadow Academy exam, you should come running to me saying you deserve a Grand Cross. What it means is that if you have consistently participated in competitions or events, actively contributed to the betterment of Qel-Droma, or performed any such service that you feel is truly worthy of a promotion or medal, you can suggest it to me. Do not take this to mean you will automatically get it. I will consider the evidence given to me, and reach a conclusion, whether on my own, through discussion with Azazel and the Clan Summit, or simply discussion with you personally. If I feel it is warranted, I will make the recommendation, or pass this feeling on to whomever can recommend it, if the promotion or medal is beyond my range of power.

Now, to prevent this report from getting any longer and more rambling than it already is, I believe I will close it off now.
