Multiplayer Competitions

After discussion with SHW Hades and DGM Mairin, I've offered to convert my Obelisk hosting staff into the core of a new DB wide multiplayer hosting staff.
We will run basic melee events (or "CF nights" as they are not-so-affectionately known by people who prefer bracket tournaments) in the #ehcoc mode, as we have done for the past several months. XvT and XWA will now be supported, so Sith can start winning Clusters of Fire without jumping out of their fishbowls and playing JK/JK2.

For now, we will continue to use the Obelisk combat calendar (which can be seen at http://obelisk.minos.net) and the channel #obelisk. In the near future I will be registering a new channel for DB MP exclusively, and creating a website with all the relevant info.

If anyone has any questions, suggestions for new competition times, or wants to volunteer to be on the hosting staff (hosts are rewarded for their efforts!) then they can drop me a line at [Log in to view e-mail addresses].
I'll see all of you XvT/XWA players at Obelisk Madness (perhaps more aptly titled 'General Madness' now? :P) this Friday at 7AM EST!

Well when I hosted first comp like this on Monday, there were only two JK2 matches, no JK1/XvT/XWA even though I announced it in all DB related channels I was in. And also I hope that the bracket tourneys still remain in the weekly tourneys, would be pitty if those would disappear. :P

Of course the tourneys will continue, Suk!
I'll be setting a few more up when I rearrange the combat calendar, so that we still maintain our own competitions in addition to DB-wide CF nights.
