HLK News #2 - November 22nd, 2003

1. HLK Web Page
   

If you guys didn't know already, we have an HLK web page, which I consider to be the best crafted House web page in all of the DB. This is because I created it. Since as of today, I no longer have my college web account, I've transferred it to my Comcast account (which seems pretty fast). So now you can find the HLK web page at:

I've made the following changes to the HLK web page:

• I've added the framework for the "Explore Our Base" part of the page, which would normally have taken you to a 404 "File not found" page. I'm gonna add information on this stuff once I have information to put there.

• I've added the first few chapters of the "HLK History" section of the page. I hope to add the rest of the chapters sometime next weekend. It's a good read for those people new to the clan. I wrote it myself.

-I've updated the surface (splash) page to update the new clan summit.

I hope everyone will welcome SWM Smitrock to the clan. I'm really flattered to have such highly regarded members in HLK.

1. Medals
   

SO Manesh was awarded a CLUSTER OF FIRE for ICTE participation.

SO Manesh was awarded a CRESCENT WITH RUBY STAR for 1st place in a Sith War competition.

SO Manesh was awarded a CRESCENT WITH AMETHYST STAR for 2nd place in a Sith War competition.

SO Manesh was awarded a CRESCENT WITH AMETHYST STAR for 2nd place in a Sith War competition.

SO Manesh was awarded a CRESCENT WITH SAPPHIRE STAR for 3rd place in a Sith War competition.

SO Jeff Loruss was awarded a CRESCENT WITH SAPPHIRE STAR for 3rd place in a Sith War competition.

SWM Smitrock was awarded a CLUSTER OF FIRE for GMRG Tuesday Showdown.

That's a crapload of medals. Please give me something to report every week, it'll make me believe that I'm actually doing my job.

1. Things You can Do
   

I'm gonna work on a list eventually, but for now, I'd love to have as many members of HLK (and the Clan in general) participate in the ICTE. I've love to see Mav consistently talk about how wonderful CNS's participation in the ICTE was.

I sort of wish our younger members participated in crap. Do all of our participating members have to be transfers?

Madon, I heard you're doing something else in the DB, I wish I knew about it, so I wouldn't dismiss you as an inactive member.

1. Conclusion
   

Right now, I'm working on adding stuff to the HLK web page. I'm also going to add some recent stuff to the HLK History page. I hope with the addition of two veteran DB members in the past two weeks, we'll be able to work to make

HLK and CNS one of leading houses and clans.
