HLK News #3 - November 29th, 2003
I hope all HLK members are away of CHAOTIC VENGEANCE, a clan competition. Basically a bunch of events that you can participate in, earn some crescents, and help your house beat the other two houses. The URL (which I'm hosting) with all the information can be found at:
http://home.comcast.net/~manesh/hlk/Chaotic_Vengeance.html
I've already participated in one online JO match, gaining two points for HLK. Remember, all but one of the events are due December 31st. When the run-on starts I'll better mobilize the house.
Yes, I changed my dossier to reflect my new last name. So now instead of being "SO Manesh" I will be "SO Manesh Sadow." Yeah.
Let's not forget that we want as many members of Clan Naga Sadow to participate in the InterClub Training Event. I've participated in every ICTE since I started a month ago, and I've enjoyed it. In fact, I seem to be getting worse and worse at Jedi Outcast every time I play it. I used to be able to beat Ibram Gaunt easily, now I've lost the last ten or so matches I've played. It's quite sad actually, but still fun.
Why don't I play XvT or XWA in the ICTE? Well, mainly because of my firewall. I have no desire to go into my router settings and disabling my firewall, because I'm pretty paranoid about Internet security. This seems to be a problem with the Sith platforms, but not Jedi Outcast.
Anyways, to play, just go to #outerrim at 4pm EST Saturday, on IRC. You guys should be on IRC anyways. You can tell who's active and who isn't by looking at who's on IRC.
One of the reasons why I don't have any medals to report is that Mav hasn't reported the ICTE results from last week. Apparently they'll be reported on Monday, so you'll get that information from me in HLK News #4.
I'm satisfied as long as you guys are keeping in contact with me about what outside projects you're working on. Some of you have talked to me talking about projects you're doing for other aspects of the DB. I totally encourage this kind of activity, as long as I know what's going on. And some of you have been good about that.
Since we don't have medals to report, I might as well report SA course completions this week.
SWM Smitrock passed the MSN Messenger Course.
SO Manesh Sadow passed the MSN Messenger Course.
SO Manesh passed the ICQ Studies Course.
SO Manesh passed the IRC Channel Operator Course.
If you notice, in some parts of this report, I didn't report on anything specific. Instead, I talked about things you can be doing. I will not be reminding you to take SA courses or participating in the ICTE every week. These things will rotate along with other activities.
After almost three weeks, I'm pretty satisfied with how the house is doing. I think we're a bit stronger now, and I feel that we're headed in the right direction.
=SO Manesh Sadow (sith)/QUA/Ludo Kressh of Naga Sadow
