HLK News #4 - December 6th, 2003

1. Chaotic Vengeance (the Clan competition)
   

I'd like to remind you all that the Clan Competition is going on. You can find the information about this competition at:

I should note that the first event is due on December 8th. Which reminds me that I have to do that first event myself. It's supposed to be the basis for the house run-ons in the competition, and that's pretty important. I suppose since some people have put some effort into designing these competitions, I feel like I should respect that effort by participating in these competitions. This is something I hope you all believe.

1. Grand Masters Royal Guard
   

I have been inducted into the Grand Master's Royal Guard as a Guardsman. I was invited by the Commander of the Guard because of my regular performance in multiplayer competitions (like the ICTE). I'm sure if some of the rest of you participated more regularly in those competitions (and I know it's hard for some of you) you'll probably get asked as well.

I decided to accept because I'm going to participate in the ICTE and similar activities anyways, so why not?

1. Medals
   

SO Manesh was awarded 2 CLUSTERS OF FIRE for participation in the ICTE.

SWM Smitrock was awarded a CLUSTER OF FIRE for participation in the ICTE.

1. Anagram Challenge
   

The 2nd Anagram Challenge is on. I'm sure people have already submitted and taken the Crescents for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. However, anyone who submits within the first 24 hours (which is about 8 hours from now) gets a Star of Antei. I decided I wasn't going to do it this time, because the Anagrams are harder, and I've been so busy doing other things today. Thought you'd like to know.

The Anagram challenge is done every month, so be ready for that one, if you can't do this one. You can find the actual information at:

1. HLK XvT Datapad Conversion
   

SWM Smitrock created a file to replace the interface for XvT with an HLK theme. It's pretty interesting, and you can find it at:

1. Conclusion
   

I'm aware some of you guys are working on projects for other people. I think we're doing pretty well. Hopefully we'll do better.
