Sith Training Nights
As promised this week sees the start of a pair of weekly Training Nights for members of all Orders to participate in. The first of which will be the Battle of Antei, the details of which are:
Friday Afternoon/Evening
Battle of Antei
Time: 3:00pm - 10:00pm GMT (10:00am - 17:00pm EST)
Type: Free For All, On-Going Ladder, On-Going Knockout
Host: [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Channel: #sith
Primary Platforms: TIE, XvT, XWA, SWGB
Now there are a few things to explain. The most important point is that members of all Orders are invited to attend, the competition is aimed to appeal to Sith but anyone wanting a game is welcome to turn up. As far as reporting matches goes Lenzar hopes to have a GameBot up and running for Friday, but if not then all matches should be reported to him via IRC [or email if he isn't around]. Since the competition is aimed at Sith the primary platforms are of course TIE, XvT, XWA and SWGB but the key is primary, if any Obelisk want to turn up and play a few games of JA there are no problems there.
The second competition follows the same rules as the Battle of Antei but will be every Sunday:
Sunday Afternoon/Evening
Space Jam
Time: 6:00pm - 12:00pm GMT (1:00pm - 7:00pm EST)
Type: Free For All, On-Going Ladder, On-Going Knockout
Host: [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
Channel: #sith
Primary Platforms: TIE, XvT, XWA, SWGB
Monthly Sith Ladder
Tied in with the Training Nights is the Monthly Ladder. All matches played at Sith Training Nights will automatically count towards the Monthly Ladder along with all other matches flown at any time during the month that are reported to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] during the month. This means that you will be able to get credit for ANY matches played during the month - providing they are TIE, XvT, XWA or SWGB.
To keep things simple the format of the ladder will remain as it was for the Sith War, meaning there are no new rules to take in. Awards will be the regular Clusters of Fire for all matches reported outside of regular Training Nights (sorry, but you can't get them for the Training Night and the Ladder :P) along with Crescents at the end of each month for the top three, starting with the Ruby Star for first place.
For the first month there will be a single ladder for all formats, depending on activity we may make individual ladders if the need arises.
New Types of Play
No doubt I've confused some people already by mentioning TIE and Multiplayer in the same sentence. Well heres a short description of what types of activity will actually contribute to the Training Nights and the Monthly Ladder:
XvT, XWA and SWGB MP.
TIE, XvT and XWA SP Challenges.
A Singleplayer Challenge (or SPC for short) is a way in which we can make use of platforms like TIE and an encouragment for those unable to play formal MP matches to still come along and have a go at earning Clusters of Fire. The idea is that two people can agree on a mission and a time limit and race to get a high score, or quicked mission time, at the Training Night. After deciding on the details they both have to get their pilot file to the Host before the end of the time limit who will award the win based on who gets the highest score, or quicked mission time, or whatever the details might be.
Knockout Tournament
As you may have noticed the two Training Nights also contribute towards an ongoing knockout. The details for this are still being finalised but if you want to sign up already then please contact [Log in to view e-mail addresses] for further details. We hope to have the full details for the Knockout ready for next week.
Order of Battle
Since we do not yet have a website to formally list this on I will post the Order of Battle here so that those of you who are interested in making new battles for the Order have some ship names to go with:

One thing many Sith have told me is that they feel the Order of Battle is rather unfairly distributed and that the concept of restricting people to possessions may be outdated. I know that this is a rather heated subject and that a lot of old school members don't like the idea because of all the hard work they had to put in to win their flagships in past Great Jedi Wars. Well I'm interested in hearing your views, so if anybody has anything to say about this whether it be one way or the other please contact me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. The Order of Battle seems to be a concern of more people than one might at first expect, so if you've got something to say then speak up now!
Thats everything for this week, my appologies that this report is late but I had a series of university interviews last week which drained me far more than I had expected. Still on the good side of things my winter break begins this week so I'll be around a lot, lot more over the next month or so meaning that we can hopefully look into getting a Sith website and battle compendium up and running before christmas :)
In Darkness,
High Warrior Xanos Zorrixor
