This is now up and ready to go. All information is with your Clan Summits.
In the meantime you should make sure you read the rules and understand them (all Orders). They do relate to you, and you should know how the games work.
If you have questions your summit is unable to answer, please contact me.
The wargame is up at the War site: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dgm/index.htm

Mai, could you PLEASE clarify things? Like when does this Wargame thing ACTUALLY start....
HOW does it start....WHERE does it start? What are our allowed number of moves (how many hexagons can we move per turn, etc)? What are our weapon capabilities (what and how many ships can ours destroy, etc)? At first I thought I was the only one who didn't understand this wargame thing, but I've talked to many people and NONE understand it, tho some think it is similar to something in Tie Corps. HELP!!!!!! EXPLAIN!!!!!!! And can you re-do the map or something? The numbers are hard to read, and some people can't actually access it on their browsers.
Hehe. Anga, maybe you're talking to the wrong people. Anyway, the Wargame started on the day it was posted. The game will begin with an initial fleet movement which should have been sent in by your clan summit. And, like the site says, allow 48 hours for each move, therefore, we can expect the first move to be executed tommorrow and perhaps the first battle. Each move is to one ADJACENT hex.
From what I understand, right now, ships don't have weapon capabilities. Think of this as the game, "Battleship." The more starships you have, the longer and better your chances are of survival. The only time your fleet can be damaged is when it enters an enemy controlled hex or it enters the same hex as another fleet.
The numbers on the map don't matter, its simply reference for your Proconsul or Consul who has recieved your starting location. Let them worry about movement. As a clan peon, your only job is to fight in Multiplayer or do the state Krath stuff.
BTW, about 95% of this stuff is listed on the website. It seems long, but maybe you should read it first before you have a stroke. ;-)
I could understand where his confusion is coming from. 95% of this MIGHT be on the site, but alot of what is on there is so vague that it could practically mean ANYTHING. The only way us in Arcona know as much as we do is by literally STUDYING the Wargame rules and then asking Mairin a plethora of questions.
She apparently "ran out of slacking off time", and had to do the whole Wargame at the last minute, at least that's what I'm percieving due to the complete lack of good explanation. There's a LOT of vital information missing from the Wargame website, and since Mairin said "Info is with yer Clan Summits", we all assumed the rest of the information would be with them.
The only info that was sent were our starting positions....oooh, ahhh. :P
And I'm not entirely certain the Wargame HAS started yet, judging from a topic in #DB I saw earlier today on IRC "Wargame to start soon, blah blah blah".
Oh, by the way Anga...
You might want to e-mail Mairin about this instead. I highly doubt she or the rest of the Dark Council read the Comment Section under their news posts, let alone the Message Forums judging from a lack of replies...Because, you know, that would just be too much sense. Dark Council members aren't supposed to be dedicated, afterall.
Wait, I was wrong! One Dark Council member DOES appear to be replying to comments, our own GM Firefox...
I guess 1 out of 10 is better than none, eh? By the way, we outa have an 'edit' option for these comments. It's not my intention to litter this with a bunch of posts...so i'll lay low on this particular comment-topic...for a little bit. :P
What I wonder is:
a) What is the meaning of the asterisks scattered over the maps?
b) How are you supposed to conquer territory?
c) Where those maps blatantly ripped off BattleTech? And if yes, can we just have the Davion Assault Guards duke it out? :P
1) Kelric, I HAVE read all the rules, I just haven't understood them well...I mean not even my CON and PCON understand them well. THey've e-mailed Mai and gotten not too helpful replies. **
**
2) Blade, thanks for your comments, they were somewhat reassuring. But FYI, I'm a she, not a he. **
**
3)Mike, good questions!
tstststs,
before you start ripping yourself in parts because of the wargame, bug your Clan summits.
Every Clan got a number of ships assigned, every Clan got a number of Hexes assigned and the crosses in the hexes are marking planets.
It seems to me that you gain control of more terretory by controling planets (but thats just an idea >:) )
You can move 1 hex per turn and every turn is 48hours long.
And if you haven`t already recieved a mail from your Clan summit about the moves and the ships and so on, then it may be that the summit will move the fleet(s) and you will go and to the assigned Krath stuff.

Michael Halcyon: Why is the CSP emblem blatently ripped off from battletech? haha.
The stars were originally going to be planets, but they weren't included in the final rules, so ignored them.
Why is the CSP emblem a mixture of Battletech logos, but with different color schemes? Cause it looks cool and fits us well.
As for the rules... some are clear as day, but again others things are left out in the dark. Hopefully we can have an IRC meeting with Mairing VERY SOON, so we all can voice our questions and learn at the same time, thus saving time and being much more efficient.
The only reason the color scheme is different is because you imposed the dragon from the Draconian Combine on the Federate Suns Emblem.
When you mix two colors, the result is a different color :P
I just thought I would point out the irony of Michael Halcyon's previous comment about the hex maps being stolen from battletech.
That and CSP should have thier own unique emblem, rather than an amalgamation of copyrighted images :P
Since there's a lot of confusion regarding this (oddly, it's pretty clear), I'll throw you all a bone. :P
First turns will be suspended till tomorrow (Wednesday). I will be on IRC at 8pm GMT sharp. And you can ask me all the questions you like for two hours straight. After that, I expect you to be able to manage yourselves in the game.
It would help if, beforehand, you can all come up with some specific questions to ask - a lot of people have received "unhelpful" responses because their emails said "We don't understand" and didn't ask for any particular information. It's not easy to re-explain something complex in different language when you've spent a lot of time putting it precisely one way in the hopes that people will actually get the general idea. :P
Yer just jealous, Khobai. Accept it :)
