The Stuff's Gotta Stop!

Look, there's a bunch of folks in this Clan that have a vision for its development. EVERYONE is entitled to a say, however, there is only one group of leadership that can/will eventually decide the Clan's direction within itself (save the ultimate governing of the DC, of course). Those immediate individuals are the CON, PCON and QUA's. That is where the 'buck' stops for CSK.

If you are NOT one of these people, then staying in this Clan means that you 
are subordinate to them, in one way or another. This is an all inclusive 
statement that does not exclude: time in the DB, current rank, current 
position, medals won, past experience or 'back in my day' scenarios. There 
are those of you who'd scoff at that fact...so be it, scoffing doesn't 
change its truth. The 'possible' harshness of that statement is simply a 
matter of _truth_, no more - no less. Unfortunately, those true facts 
do not change from Clan to Clan.   



By definition, we know that the DB is NOT a 'democracy' -- sorry to those of 
you who believed it was. If the leaders were 'elected' it might be a 
different story, but suffice it to say that they're not, so it isn't. In 
CSK, your opinion matters, but only so far as it lets us know that you have 
a vision of your own.   



Many an idea/project have been developed from input by Clan members (i.e. 
Jyx Zirv, M'Kel Kahn, Morrigan L'Fey, Brat Stone, Ziltopia, Eharopes...to 
name a few), so don't think you're ignored. Inevitably though, it still 
comes down to the decisions of the CON, PCON and QUA's - and sometimes even 
the CON tells us to shut up, thereby, reducing the 'governing' to the CON 
solely.  



This is the nature of things; you can't please all the people all of the 
time - so, what comes out is 'the best we've got'. If it's not sufficient to 
fulfill what you'd hoped, then venture a way to help, instead of complaints 
that lack substance.

If you don't like the way things are going in the Clan, you have a few different options:

1) Voice your opinion.

_- If you voice your opinion, the receiver of said opinion might not like 
it, but at least 'they' can't say that you didn't say anything.  

- There's nothing more pathetic than someone who goes an entire duration 
pissed off and unhappy; better to get it off your chest, and have a chance 
of fixing the problem, than stewing in its conflict.

_2) Stop complaining_  

_- If you haven't voiced your opinion, then you really have no right to 
complain.  

- Take a look at what you're complaining about; there's a chance that the 
junk you're complaining about could be because of you. If its not you, then 
try to fix it, the possibility that others feel the same way DOES exist.

_3) Leave_  

_- No one should be forcing you to stay here. There are a bunch of other 
Clans to choose from.   

- This is not a place where you need to be if you don't like it. If you 
haven't done numbers 1 or 2, then leaving might help you out. - However, not 
much gets accomplished if the situation isn't confronted._
