Taldryan CON Report 1-18-04

Hello everybody, time for your favorite weekly CON report! I had my first week of school and its going good, lots of time for DB stuff, so let’s get to that!

DB News

-The Dark Side Compendium has been updated with a new “Powers of the Dark Jedi” section, which can be seen here: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/dsc/powers_of_the_dark_jedi.html. There are some new powers, a new organizational structure, and it describes the Order and Clan-specific powers (which will be released soon).

-The Obelisk Rite of Supremacy is going strong!! Current parts of the competition include JK, JO, and JA Individual and Team ladders, as well as Guild and other game matches. For full details see the RoS website, this can be found here:

These haven’t been updated in awhile though; I hear we’re a lot further in the lead

-As you may have heard me say this week, Clan Taldryan won for participation in Mav’s “Capital Gains” competition, with 26 submissions! That is 44% participation for the Clan, which is very good! Here is the list of participants:

In numbers House Dinaari is the winner by one submission, but the percentages tell a different story. Dinaari had 34% participation, while Ektrosis had 67%!! Great job to members from both houses, I really love how everybody answered my call and participated in this competition to win it for Taldryan

-The Combat Master is looking for people to beta test “ACC Live”, which will be like an ACC battle written line by line on IRC. If you want to be a beta tester, email the CM!

-The deadline for the Combat Master’s cooperative ACC competition, the “Challenge of Ashvroth”, is January 20th, that’s only three days from now, so make sure you get your battles completed by then!

-Mav has released the Brotherhood’s Order of Battle! This contains a list of every capital ship in the Brotherhood and Clans fleets, with great graphics too! Check it out here:

-The Justicar issued a statement regarding behavior in #db. While I know its not Taldryan members that usually cause any trouble, just try to watch what you talk about, and attempt to keep conversations appropriate!

-The Krath Monthly Topics for January are “Darkness” and “Vengeance”, see djb.org for all the details. The KHP is also running another competition named “A New Menace”, where you write about a new enemy of the DB (I like this one, and I’ll be submitting myself, you should too, its a great topic!) Remember, ALL orders can submit to these competitions!

to fight me!!

-- Weekly Multiplayer Competitions --

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

-“Tuesday Showdown” in #gmrg from 2-10pm EST

-“Thursday Night Bash” in #obelisk from 6-10pm EST

-“Battle of Antei” in #sith on Fridays from 10am-5pm EST

-“Interclub Training Event” (ICTE) on Saturdays at 4pm in #Outerrim

-“Space Jam” in #sith on Sundays from 1-5pm EST

Taldryan News

-One big announcement this week is about the Clan Taldryan website. You’ve probably heard or seen that it has been updated and has had some improvements made on it as well. Well one of the improvements (possibly my favorite) is the “Your Input” section of the Consuls Office. This option is only available if you login using your ID and Password (not DB PIN & Pass, but Tal-site ID and pass), then the feature will be available in the Consuls Office. Basically it’s an anonymous comment form you can fill out and send feedback directly to me. Unless you put your name in it I will have no idea who sent it, I just get the message. So if there is ANYTHING you want to tell me but don’t want your name on, any concerns you might have, just login on the Taldryan site and use this option, that’s why it’s there!

-Also I’d like to make public that the Taldryan leadership has been filled in and is now assisting me with the “Super-secret CON Project”! Yes, this is the first information I’m releasing, and all I’m going to say is that work is progressing well, and you should be ready for it in either a couple weeks before the upcoming GJW, or after the GJW is finished, it depends on the timing, so be on the lookout for that!

-The Obelisk Rite of Supremacy continues, so all you Dinaari folk get out there and start playing, so we can hold our title as First House of the Obelisk!! Dinaari currently holds the lead, so let’s keep it up guys!

-Capital Gains…we won, go us!!!

-It’s that time again, time for me to announce the two newest members of my Honor Guard, the Cohor’s Praetoria! So for the next two weeks the two members that will be serving as the Cohor’s Praetoria are….Benevolent Whiner and Quarmador

-House Ektosis has a few competitions going on right now, they include:
