AED Report for Kirleta’s Sith and any Obelisk who like to fly

The Houses are merged now, so we’re all free to do what we please where platforms are concerned. Obbies can fly; Sith can run around and shoot/saber things.

Check out the “Competitions and other things you can do” section of this report. There’s a lot of stuff you can do my Brothers. Just look at how long that section is!

-CC your friendly neighbourhood QUA (and/or AED) on your activities so they won’t go unnoticed. Actually just send him a report every two weeks outlining what you’ve accomplished. It would be very much appreciated, and beneficial to you in the long run. Make sure you get rewarded for your efforts. Speak up!

-Recruitment is always a high priority for our Clan, and the DB in general. The more the merrier.

COMPETITIONS AND OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO TO GET NOTICED:

SITH Only:

The Back in Action comp (BIA). Fly as many of those missions as you want.

TIE = Battle 4 mission 1 (Habeen convoy)

XvT = concussion missile training mission

XWA = that file I sent out. Need it again? Just ask.

Submissions for these two comps go to me directly. Feel free to cc Gord and Dal. DO NOT cc Arso…he’s a participant in these (Osra).

For Sith and Obelisk (Be aware that this report will always have a Sith lean to it – so you’ll have to see Arso’s report for more Obelisk style things):

-I’m extending Galthain’s mission building initiative to the Obelisk. All I’m asking for is a few brave souls to help come up with ideas for flying platform missions. If we could actually build them that would be even better. Any takers? The compendium is now operational, but it will ALWAYS need new missions. This isn’t a competition, but participation shall be rewarded. Interested parties should contact me.

-The New Menace comp. Come up with an enemy for the DB. See the news page for full details. In short, write a story 1 ½ pages minimum on our new enemy. Submissions due to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and [Log in to view e-mail addresses] by January 31st.

-Look for Obelisk/Sith comps in the future.

-Join the run-on training team and learn how to help your Clan in future comps. Contact Dalthid and Gord.

-The Dark Voice, could always use fiction submissions….I’ll even help you edit stuff (depending on how much time I have).

-There are always Shadow Academy courses for your enlightenment.

-You can always do some MP flying and earn yourselves some awards. The High Warrior has now made it possible for us to do MP style activities with SP platforms.

“A Singleplayer Challenge (or SPC for short) is a way in which we can make use of platforms like TIE and an encouragement for those unable to play formal MP matches to still come along and have a go at earning Clusters of Fire. The idea is that two people can agree on a mission and a time limit and race to get a high score, or quickest mission time, at the Training Night. After deciding on the details they both have to get their pilot file to the Host before the end of the time limit who will award the win based on who gets the highest score, or quickest mission time, or whatever the details might be.”

The source of the mission doesn’t matter (it can be downloaded from anywhere on the internet, or be from within the standard missions of the platform itself).

-If there’s anything else you can think of doing, do it! Initiative is always a good thing and looked upon highly.

KIRLETAN SITH NEWS:

-The Sith Battle Compendium site is now up. Unfortunately there are no missions available as of yet.

-The Motto comp is over. Osra/Arso, being the only submitter, is the winner by default and picks up a sapphire crescent for his effort. The new motto for Galthain (transferred over to Delphian) is “The light flies from us. “

-Our website will be finished sometime in the near future. Thanks, Dal!

-The Clan is taking a more proactive approach to keeping track of member activity. The responsibility for making sure you get noticed lies with you, as it always has. MAKE YOURSELVES HEARD! Starting immediately, please send me bi-weekly reports of your activities. No more ccing me on comp submissions…or forgetting to do so…just send me a report so I know what you’ve done (So I can reward you appropriately: P) I’d really like to start promoting people again. This will also serve as a way of telling me that you’re still alive, so you won’t have to be bothered by AWOL checks again.

-DB membership is increasing steadily. If you know anyone who would be a good Dber, give ‘em a nudge, we could always use new recruits, try to get them into Kirleta. Let’s make this a priority.
