Taldryan CON Report 2-1-04

Well there is LOTS of Clan news this week, so I should probably just get started writing all of it! The biggest news is the “State of the Clan” address that I will be sending out to everyone sometime this week! Make sure you read it, there will be lots of important information in it!

DB News

-The ACC has undergone a complete revamp! There are lots of new features and a completely new site design, so go check it out and start some matches! (it has the same URL as the last site)

-The Obelisk Rite of Supremacy has ended! We’re just waiting on final scores now, hopefully Dinaari pulled out the win!

-The OHC resigned this week, look for a replacement very soon!

-All of those Capital Gains submissions you sent in are currently being judged. First the will be read over by the Clan judges, who will pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the Clan. Then they’ll be sent to the DB judges to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for the entire DB. Look for results soon!

-The Justicar issued a statement regarding behavior in #db. While I know its not Taldryan members that usually cause any trouble, just try to watch what you talk about, and attempt to keep conversations appropriate!

-The Krath Monthly Topics for February are “The Flame” and “Blind”, see djb.org for details, and the Inter-Phyle competition is up and running, so get going on that if you’re involved!. The KHP is also running another competition named “A New Menace”, where you write about a new enemy of the DB, all submissions are due on Feb. 2nd ! Also there is the Valentines comp!

– Weekly Multiplayer Competitions –

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

-“Tuesday Showdown” in #gmrg from 2-10pm EST

-“Thursday Showdown” in #gmrg from 6-10pm EST

-“Battle of Antei” in #sith on Fridays from 10am-5pm EST

-“Interclub Training Event” (ICTE) on Saturdays at 4pm in #Outerrim

-“Space Jam” in #sith on Sundays from 1-5pm EST

• “Operation: Continued Dominance”!!! This Clan-wide competition is up and running, so start sending those submissions in! There are LOTS of awards to be earned, and TONS of events to participate in, so get going!

I’ve only had a few submissions so far, I want to see a LOT more, c’mon people!

-BIG NEWS: I will be sending out a “State of the Clan” address sometime this week. This document will go over the last year in Taldryan history, and will talk about where Taldryan is headed. It’s a little long, but you should all read it, it’ll be worth it!

-As all of you read, our Proconsul Freshjive Taldrya resigned this week, due to the constraints the real world is putting on his time. He did a great job while he was here, and we’ll all miss him as Proconsul! He is remaining in Dinaari though, so he is sticking around, yay!

-Also, it saddens me to announce that the Quaestor of House Ektrosis, Shadonyx, has retired from his position, also due to constraints on his time. Shadonyx has done some great things for Ektrosis, so I’d like to thank him for all the work he has put in! And on another note, with his departure, and due to all the work he has done as QUA and on some side projects, DGM Jac has deemed it appropriate to give Shadonyx the rank of Dark Jedi Master, congratulations DJM Shadonyx!

-On that note, I will now be opening applications for Quaestor of House Ektrosis. You must be at least at the rank of DJK+, and have served in the DB for 6 months. Please include the following in your application: prior experience (DB and real life), ideas for the house, references, and anything else you want to include. -Sharad and I have been busy working on the Taldryan website (well…I come up with ideas, he does all of the actual website work). So here is a list of the new options added this week!

Quote Generator added

I know it’s a lot, we’ve been busy people! The two additions that most affect all of you are the Competition section and the Quote Generator. The Competition section is the second link from the top on the left, and has existed for awhile, but now it actually works! In this section you can find ALL the competitions that you, as members of Taldryan, can participate in. It also includes descriptions, deadlines, and all sorts of other information. YOU SHOULD CHECK THIS OFTEN!

Quote Generator: That box at the top of the screen under the "Clan Taldryan" banner is now a quote generator, to which YOU submit the quotes! If you have a good quote you want to submit, simply login to the site using your ID# and password, then click on the "Add Quote" link in your Admin options. Then type in your quote and hit submit. After a House/Clan summit member approves it, your quote will be put on the list to rotate through the generator, so you can see your own quotes on the website! Use this (its fun!)

-The Clan AWOL check ended today, so the following people will be removed from the roster:

-New Cohors Praetoria this week, the lucky two members this week are…Dark Sabre and wolf! Both of these guys have been consistently active from week to week, and they deserve the recognition, congrats to both of you!

-The Obelisk Rite of Supremacy has ended, so we’re just waiting for results!
