Welcome to another House report and all the fun and excitment it brings. THe Super Bowl was a good game. I personally had no vested interest in who won, but a good game nonetheless. I was a bit disappointed with the commercials this year, though. But, anyway, here's the report:

1. Competitions:

   -In the Shadows, pt. 2 (the run-on on the House message board) will be starting soon. Read the rules carefully.

   -Dranik was the only one who submitted an entry for In the Shadows, pt. 1, and so he shall receive not only the 1st place crescent, but also a Letter of Commendation.

   -As far as I know, Telona and I were the only ones to submit to the "New Menace" competition. Please let me know if I am mistaken. Telona is also receiving a Letter of Commendation.

   -Interphyle whodunnit is running. Your TETs have more specific info on it.

   -KMTs are up and running.

2. Awards and Promos- a short list this week.

   -I received 4 CFs for ICTE matches.

   -KAP Kidouses received a Crescent w/an Emerald Star for winning Telona's last phyle competition.

3. Great Jedi War- As you probably know, this is set to start mid to late February. This is a BIG and important event and I want to see everyone participate as much as possible. Not just for Clan and House honor, but also for some spiffy awards. Novas are handed out during these types of competitions, not just crescents. Also, House Gladius will reward its members with appropriate medals/promos for participation (all depending on what you do).

4. Special Announcement- Happy birthday to Decease. Make certain to get your birthday licks in before the day runs out :)

5. Master/Student program- Those of you without a master or a student (depending on rank) should seriously consider this program. It helps the new members learn how things work in the DB and helps give the group a more realistic feel. For the students, it is a great way to get to know people, get introduced to the more detailed aspects of the DB, and helps with your promotions (especially to DJK and your lightsaber).

6. IRC- As Sith mentioned, IRC is a great way for you to get to know people, find out what is going on, and just have some fun. 7. Phyles reports:

   -Keepers of the Night-

The biggest thing is the Inter Phyle Competition that's going on right now. Everyone has already heard lots of stuff about it in other emails so I won't say any more.

This month will be a light one for you all. I'm planning on just running some trivia. I'll give out the 10 questions on Wednesday and the first one to answer the most correctly wins a LSS. A DC will go out to the person who can answer the most :)

There are new KMTs out so participate if you can. I'll get around to updating the website as soon as I can.

Basically the same stuff regarding the Inter Phyle Comp, but that's about all I can tell you. Look for Spear's report when it comes out.

1. Awards and Promotions- As Sith noted in his report, if you think anyone is deserving of something, let me (and Sith, Rekio, Aari, and your TET) know. Very simply, I can't know what everyone does, though I do try. Let me also state that I like to reward people, but I need substance for the recommendations. If you're active, you'll get rewarded. I guarantee it.
