Well I figured I should go ahead and report in to duty or something cheesy like that. :P I think Kir and I will make a great team. We were actually QUA and AED of Dinaari together about 3 years ago, briefly. :P We're very similar in our leadership style, and I know that Taldryan will benefit from two very active and dynamic leaders. However, go ahead and prepare yourselves for a lot of work ahead because we have a lot to do before the GJW. Anyways, I'd like to go over a few things so you will all know what to expect from me.

First off, let me extend my congratulations to all the new appointees. I helped Kir in choosing all of you, so I know it's well deserved. :P Great job Shadow, I know you'll do well, since you have before. :) Alaric, you've already been working hard as AED, so I expect nothing less. :P Dark Sabre, you've made Shadow Warriors awesome as their TET, so now is your chance to take the whole house to a higher level. :) Now get to work! ;)

I started out in the DB on December 16, 2000. I was recruited by a Dinaari member on the zone, but I didn't do much because I didn't really know what the DB was all about. I finally gave up the zone because I was tired of it and started to do more with the DB. In late March 2001 I was appointed AED of Dinaari under Kir. I mostly did a bunch of web design for him (which I think sucks now btw :P), but after seeing what he did it made me more aware of what leaders were supposed to do. In late May or early June 2001 I was elevated to QUA of Dinaari. I started #dinaari up (and have been owner ever since :P), which has been an active IRC channel ever since (more active than #taldryan much of the time). I ran a few competitions and started to pull in active members that stuck with us (most notably Shadow and SwipeR). During this time I figured out what leading in the DB was all about, and I think I did a good job then.
Then, in late November 2001 I was appointed OHC of the Brotherhood. I served there for 9 months doing lots of things. I had an Obelisk Rite of Supremacy called Feel the Force, which was unique and many people loved it. I also started #obelisk and the tournaments, which as of late have died. After a while real life was getting to me a lot. I had met my fiancé, and we had moved in together over the summer. We had little to no internet connection, so I had to go to computer labs at school for access to try and do my OHC duties. This just wasn't cutting it, so I finally quit in early August 2002 until the time I could return with more time.
I finally got a DSL connection and felt the calling back to the Brotherhood once again, so I rejoined sometime in September. In late October 2002 I was made PCON of Taldryan. I brought it out of stagnation by getting members more excited about the clan and the family that we were. We had an astounding 80% Clan participation in the GJW run-on, and despite a very screwy GJW we were doing quite well. In mid April 2003 the EH-DB split took place, and the OHC decided to go with the EH, so I once again took up the position of OHC. However, I was losing motivation, so I only lasted for 2 months and I did nothing notable during that time, resigning late June 2003.
After about 4 months away from the DB and enjoying real life for a while, I finally felt I was ready to come back and enjoy the DB, so in late October 2003 I rejoined Dinaari. I was enjoying being a regular member for a few months and became really active once again. However, I felt awkward not in a leadership position, so I started talking to Kir about stuff that was going on in Taldryan. I started polishing up and adding new features to the Taldryan site for him. When freshjive resigned in late January 2004, Kir invited me to take up the reigns of PCON. I accepted, and now we're at the present. :P
Wow that was a lot longer than I originally intended. Oh well, if you're new and you want to know about me, then I think that covers my whole DB career quite completely. :P

I composed quite a lengthy document a few days ago, which I sent to Kir. This outlined all my thoughts and ideas for the clan in the near future. Some of those will be behind the scenes and some you'll have to wait and see, but I will disclose some information about what's coming.
Communication in the clan seems to be dwindling with Ektrosis members not really knowing Dinaari members and vice versa. We're not a family anymore, and that disheartens me. We plan to increase Message Board usage, egroup chatting, IRC interaction, and continue with website improvements. Please make sure you use all of these media, so you can get the full experience from Clan Taldryan.
#ektrosis is in the process of being registered! Activity in this channel should increase, and the house will benefit greatly from this. If you're an Ektrosis member or any Taldryan member really, please join us in #ektrosis on IRC, server Undernet. If you need help getting on IRC, please let Kir or me know.
Kir and I will be splitting up report duties, so be sure to read both our reports. Mine will include mostly the boring stuff, but I'll try to come up with some creative stuff to make it interesting. Also, any activities I run will be in my report specifically, so keep that in mind.
We'll be keeping progress reports on every member, so no activity will slip through the cracks. This will keep the promotions and awards more consistent, and hopefully more often. Make sure to do lots of stuff, so we can give you more stuff. :)
As you've all seen I've done tons of work with the Taldryan website recently. I plan on making a fully functional Dinaari and Ektrosis in the near future. I hope this will help out the houses, so they can have a state of the art site to use. I also hope that you members will take advantage of the information made available to you via these sites.
