Greetings and welcome to the first week of my Consulship.
So what happened around? Well, I think most important thing was opening of
applications for Commander of the Guard and Lord Marshal. Cog is CoG, LM is
some dude that organizes MP events.
Apart from that, there is no happening in the DB this week that warrants our
attention. Oh, sure, various DC members suggest various projects for the
future, but nothing that should keep our attention for long. Which is a good
thing - we need concentrate on Clan matters after all :)
And for Clan matters, what is more important than newcomers? Today we
welcome two Obelisk Apprentices, fresh from Shadow Academy - all welcome
Sledge Veracious and Damian! I hope you'll have load of fun with us people!
And what about appointment of Quaestor for Acclivis Draco? You know, its
basically very simple choice - either you have someone ready or open
applications to the Brotherhood. In case of our dear friend Timbal we
already had him in mind, but I rather wanted to prepare everyone somewhat
indirectly. Well, that took a day or something of mailing. And during that
time I was approached by some people who inquired on the opened spot on
their own initiative. Now, don't get me wrong - they're qualified, but I'd
rather have someone who is from our group, who knows how we work and how CSP
will run. And, at very least, who knows what squirrels stand for.
Then, we made that Battlegroup stuff you've all seen. How was it made? Well,
simple. Fist SHW Goat mailed me that he wants it done. Then I caught Ara on
IRC and first we blinked on the fighters we had few minutes. Then I said,
"ok, change of tactics" and said "3 TIE Phantoms - Special Ops Squadron".
Immediately Ara said "aka Ops. And Highly Effective Logistics Patrol, that
is HELP at that"
Then we stopped caring about what types of squadrons to form, but just
thought about their names, often consulting dictionary and going
word_by_word. Finally we got RUN and MAYDAY squadron and after that, we were
so tired and sleepy that I just said what ships go where and agreed on that.
Well, Phoenix said its ok and no one complained, so I shipped it off to SHW.
We also made a good doctrine for use of those squadrons, that has just one
teeny weeny problem - it requires our opponents not moving their troops. But
eh - even greatest plans have some flaw, eh? :)
What leads out to my favorite part of report. You know, the one I just feel
warm around the heart writing about. Yeah, awards :)
First, most important thing is that three Seals of Loyalty have been
awarded. They've been awarded to three individuals that deserve them -
Phoenix, Rhaub and Saito, and are finally found on their profiles.
Speaking of Rhaub, he just scored in KMT :) I love these people - write a
story, participate, win... Great work man :)
Reflecting back, I got Amethyst crescent for 2nd place in that huge Looking
Glass Comp... It was fun, and judged well, and I hope for that original idea
to be used again sometime. So you could actually participate in it :)
As we speak of Crescents, Phoenix won a shinny emerald one for 4th place in
GMRG JO tournament. Knowing the people who play JO around, this is quite a
success that means he really is one of best players around. Congrats,
Phoenix!
Which leads to the last medal for this week... Which ironically was first,
just I hate to scroll down then up, going from first to last. I rather want
to read from last to first, ironically, first scrolling down, then up. But
anyway, for hard work, dedication, tireless playing of JO late at nights,
Arania won a high prize... A Cluster of Fire! Congratulations Arania! Surely
makes your effort feel worthwhile!
Did I succeed being a least bit sarcastic? Hope I did :)
What brings us to COMPETITIONS! Let me be blunt and to the point:
