Taldryan Consul Report 2-15-04

So its time for another of my super-awesome Consul reports, I know youre all excited! So this past weekend was Valentines day, or as my single friends refer to it, Singles Awareness Night, hope everyone had a good time! Only a few news items to mention this week, so this report should be fairly short (short = chance you all might read it, right?), so lets get going!

DB News

-The Third Sith War has begun! This event is open to ALL orders, not just the Sith. There are single and multiplayer events for XvT, XWA, and Allegiance, as well as writing and graphics events! Since the Sith in Taldryan number very few, it is up to the entire Clan to participate in whichever events they can so that we can do well! Clans that do the best will be awarded new Starfighters as possessions, we WANT those fighters to add to our fleet, so lets kick some butt in this competitions! All submissions are due Saturday, March 13th!

-The Obelisk Rite of Supremacy ended quite awhile ago, but we are still waiting for results from former-OHC Khoabi, hopefully he should have those to us very soon!

-Just a note since we are all Star Wars nerds, there has been a credible rumor circulating that the original Trilogy will be released on DVD as a four-DVD set sometime in September! Hopefully thats true, because weve all waited a long time already!

-Another heads up in the game department, Lucasarts is currently working on TWO new games, both of which will have multiplayer capability. The first is

-For those of you who participate in the Thursday Night Bash multiplayer competition in #gmrg, there has been a change! The Thursday competition will be Guns-only from this point on. This should make it fun and different from other competitions, so get in there and play!

-All of those Capital Gains submissions you sent in have been judged, and we are now just awaiting the final announcement from the Lord Chamberlain on the winners, this should be released very soon!

-The KHP released new clues for the Inter-phyle competition, which can be found on djb.org

-The Krath Monthly Topics for February are The Flame and Blind, see djb.org for details, and the Inter-Phyle competition is up and running, so get going on that if youre involved!. Also there is the Valentines comp, so check that out!

Weekly Multiplayer Competitions

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

-Moonelfs Quest in #gmrg on Mondays from 3-8pm EST

-Tuesday Showdown in #gmrg from 2-10pm EST

-Thursday Night Bash in #gmrg from 6-10pm EST

-Battle of Antei in #sith on Fridays from 10am-5pm EST

-Interclub Training Event (ICTE) on Saturdays at 4pm in #Outerrim

-Space Jam in #sith on Sundays from 1-5pm EST

Taldryan News

Operation: Continued Dominance!!! This Clan-wide competition is up and running, so start sending those submissions in! There are LOTS of awards to be earned, and TONS of events to participate in, so get going!

So far I have VERY FEW submissions to this competition, which disappoints me. This is supposed to be a warm-up for the Great Jedi War that is coming, and most of you havent even submitted to a SINGLE event yet! There is ONLY ONE DAY LEFT to participate; all submissions have to be to me by the end of the day tomorrow (Feb. 16th)!

-Big Props to Dask_k, who was the only Taldryanite to participate in last weeks JO WoW (with me!)

-PCON Sharad and I have been discussing reinstating the Tallys, a type of in-clan award from way back. Sharad will explain more in his report later this week

-And its that time, for me to announce two new members of the Cohors Praetoria. For this week I have selectedDask_k and Sharad! Dask participated a TON in last weeks JO WoW (week of war) hosted by battlestats and played on the zone. Sharad has been kicking butt as Proconsul, so he definitely deserves this as well!

-One of the goals for Sharad and I is going to be to increase Clan communication, so if you want to get a head start on that, then start talking on the MBs and on IRC more often!

-The Taldryan JO server is still up and running! The IP Address is 216.55.167.111, and the Password is Talpwnz, get out there and play!
