Interesting Factoid

It is your beloved HRLD here to announce something that may not seem all to important to most people, but I feel someone will find this interesting.
Foremost, I was looking through the EH site and saw that crazy Internet Archive Wayback Machine link. I clicked it out of curiousity, and I was quite shocked at what I found. It had been a while since I had seen some of the incarnations of the EH main site. It brought back memories of when I joined. I chuckled at how primative it looks... then I decided to see if the links worked.
They do.
I proceeded to check the various incarnations of the DB site. Again I found humor in how simple it looks, but then something came to my attention I was not aware of.
I was wrong about something.
It appears I became HRLD sometime in February of 2000 - not May of 2000 as I had previously thought. I quickly ran down the list of other people in the DC at that time and it confirmed what I had suspected - I am the longest standing member of the Dark Council.
What does this mean? Well - nothing. It just means I have held the position of HRLD longer than anyone has held any other position in my time.
Creepy, huh?

Hmm Actually you are the one that has been in a single position within the DC for the most time but if we talk in general FF has been in the DC for longer then you. He was appointed SHW around the 5th Feb 2000 and you where appointed HRLD May 27, 2000 . I was M:HRLD at that time and I still have all the mails I got since I joined the DB about 4 years ago. =P

His news post specifically says he found resources pointing to his appointment in February 2000, not May 2000...
Mage, I know what he said but I can assure you Joker was in charge. Joker was removed by Thedek because in the middle of march of that year he gone missing due a car accident and was badly injuried and none have had news from him for a long time. I have checked some old Holocrons as well and there are strange contrasting information about it. The first notice I found about Kaine as HRLD are dated 23 Feb 2000, but I have also mails from Joker till Mar 7th about GoA's I was making for him. Sadly I can't find the application I sent those days for HRLD so to have the exact date when the HRLD spot was opened to applications. Though it's kinda strange isn't it..
Still - whether it was late FEB or early MAR 2000 - It's been a long time. I don't remember the HRLD spot being open for application. I just remember Thedek asking me casually on IRC if I wanted to be HRLD.
I thought he was kidding. Apparently not.
You where officially appointed the first week of May 2000 and I remember it cuz soon after I was resigning from QUA for the first time and that's something I remember well. I don't know, though, what happened betwen the time Joker disappeared and you were appointed so we are both right about it I guess...
