Taldryan Consul Report 4-4-04

Well its a new week, and I have less than a month of school left this year, yay! Unfortunately this means that in the next few weeks my professors will realize they didnt give us enough tests/quizzes yet, and therefore will shove as many of them in before the semester ends as possible. So far Ive done a good job with making sure to keep up with my DB work, but I might have a little lull in the upcoming weeks, just an FYI.

DB News

-On April 12th there are two important events occurring. The first is the release of the Dark Voice, which is the DBs newsletter which contains all sorts of information. This one will contain the beginning of the story for the upcoming Great Jedi War, so be sure to check it out!

The second event starting on April 12th is the start of the 2nd annual Dark Brotherhood Independence Games! These were first held last year and were a tremendous success, so you should all check them out this year! Heres a quick description of them: Every leader from Aedile up submits a different competition idea, and they are all collected and put on a website. Then after the Games start, you can pick which ones you want to participate in to earn points for your Clan! You can do 3-4 events, or every single one (there will probably be around 40 total), whichever you like! Theyre fun and great warm-up for the GJW!

-Jac is switching over the hosting of djb.com, so there might be a few holdups in the Admin features on the site. Once the switch is over however, Jac will be offering FREE HOSTING for all DB Battleteam leaders and above. This space can be used for making Phyle/Brigade/Flight/House (for example brigadename.darkjedibrotherhood.com) websites and will have subdomain addresses and personal FTP access. There will be a form to fill out to request this hosting in the future, so leaders be on the lookout for that!

-If any of you noticed a bunch of dossier changes during this week, you can thank the Entar family, it was their version of an April Fools Day prank (damn nerdy people!)

-For any of you who have trouble connecting to the Taldryan JO server, there is another server now available. The IP for this server is 82.208.136.26 and the password is YMCA.

-The Krath Monthly Topics for April are The KHP and P:CM have been fighting and My own Death, see djb.org for details. There is also a cooperative competition called Through the Looking Glass and a continuation of the character development competitions, entitled Worst Defeat. Details on all of these can be found on djb.com or in the KHPs weekly report.

-The Antei Combat Center is a great place to be active and have some fun writing battles against your fellow brethren!! To go check it out and get started on participation, go to http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/acc/. Im a Judge, so if you join you will be able

to fight me and Ill get to read your posts if I happen to Judge one of your battles!

Weekly Multiplayer Competitions

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

Taldryan News

-First bit of Clan news is that the Quaestor of House Ektrosis, Malaricarun has been promoted to Krath Priest! Everyone be sure to congratulate him!

-This next bit is more of a preview, Ill be sending out more detailed emails on each of these individual programs soon after my report. The first new Clan program that we will be starting very soon is something I call Taldryan Sects. Basically its a Clan-wide, enlarged master-apprentice system thats meant to create stronger interclan ties. Ill be sending out a more detailed email very soon

The second program is something I call the Clan Heritage Program. A trend Ive been witnessing lately is that very few members actually know their Clans history. While Taldryan does have a written fictional history on our website, it isnt very long or detailed, and we dont have a real life history (like who actually started Taldryan, major events, etc. This program will have several stages, the first of which involves me doing a LOT of research into the past by interviewing people and reading through hundreds of old emails. Once I have finished the research then more information will be released!

-Also Ive been asked to send in a list of important events in Taldryan that have occurred during the last year for the new issue of the Dark Voice. So if you want to look for that, itll be in there somewhere. Its not too impressive, but its something!

-A few weeks ago I mentioned that I would be taking submissions for names for a new Ship that Taldryan is going to obtain. Well I have taken all the submissions I will be taking, and something soon the poll will be up on the Taldryan site for all of you to vote on. That way all of YOU get to pick the ships new name! I will email the Clan as soon as the poll is setup.

-The third round of voting for the Tallys has started so if you havent yet, login to the Taldryan website and vote!
