Taldryan Consul Report 5-23-04
Alright well, first off I apologize for the 2-day lateness of this report, it seems every time I go to the town where my girlfriend goes to school something bad happens to my car. This time the wheel developed a crack in it, which ruined the tire as well. Obviously the big news this week is the start of the GJW! (finally!) With the start of the GJW the format of my reports is going to change slightly. Now each report will begin with a special GJW section, followed by the Clan News, and then by the DB news (which will be slim to none during the competition). Alright, so here we go!
-Quick explanation of Great Jedi Wars for those of you who havent been around for one before. Great Jedi Wars are a type of DB-wide competition in which the Clans fight among themselves for awards the Dark Council gives at its conclusion (most of our Clan Possessions have been gained in this manner).
-The KEY to winning GJWs (which Taldryan does very well!) is participation. All of YOU need to participate in EVERY SINGLE event that you possibly can. PCON Sharad and I are going to become VERY annoying to some of you during this competition, because we will keep lists of who has done what, and then well bug you to do everything else!!
-Just like the Independence games, the GJW has a submission form for you to use (you can find it here: http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/php/). There are links to the form on the GJW website. You need to use this form to send in all of your submissions. BUT also SAVE all your submissions on your computer, you never know when the form might not work, so SAVE EVERYTHING!!
-Since there is a submission form, that means you are not sending out submission emails, but that means that I am not getting CCd on your submissions, so I dont know what you have or have not done! So every time you submit using the online form, immediately go to your email program and write me and Sharad an email telling us what event you just submitted for!!! THIS IS IMPORTANT!!
-The GJW website can be found here: http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/. This site contains both the official storyline of the War along with all the events you can be doing, along with a submission form for the events.

Fiction
1.You and a small team of clansmen have been assigned an archaeological site to excavate and report to the Krath High Priestess. This site is located in the Shadowlands of Antei, and is of relatively minor importance. Describe your experiences as a member of the team. What sort of planning went underway to prepare for the dig? What did you find? Were there any problems? Length: 5 pages, 12 point times, 1 inch margins, .doc format. Submit here.
2.The Dark Council has asked for your assistance in interrogating the Antaran captives to learn more about their Council. Detail your interrogation techniques. Length: 1 page, 12 point times, 1 inch margins, .doc format. Submit here.
3.You are an Apprentice to one of the Triumvirate of the Star Chamber (Tiamat, Okemi, Ferran) Describe the final days of the Star Chamber, retell the last moments of your life, or the aftermath if you survived the Obscuration. Length: 2-4 pages, 12 point times, 1 inch margins, .doc format. Submit here.
Poetry
A song and a surreal series of images have haunted your dreams. Every time you close your eyes you fear what you will see. Record the song, and provide a one-page extrapolation or interpretation of the songs meaning, and of your visual experiences. Length: 2 pages, 12 point times, 1 inch margins, .doc format. Clan Run-On
Re-tell the events that have occurred since the end of the Sith - Antaran war. What was your Clan's role in the conflict? How did you take advantage of the situation for your Clan's gain? How did the events affect your Clan's goals and long-term ambitions? Length: 150 posts on Clan message board. No submission necessary.

Clan Taldryan News
-At this point in time, all of my Clan Projects and Programs will be put on hold so I can turn all my attention to the GJW.
-During this past week Malaricarun has left his position as QUA of Ektrosis and become a normal member of the House. Former-QUA Shadonyx has agreed to return to his former position and lead Ektrosis so congratulations to him!
-PCON Sharad is technically on leave but he will be around during the GJW to help out his Clan.
-Well I managed to get the money so the Taldryan JO server should stay up and not be cancelled, yay! Thanks to those of you who donated.
DB News
-From this point on, all news posts on djb.com will be posted in a roleplaying manner basically they will be short stories that include the relevant news. It will be like this throughout the GJW. I wont be putting too much emphasis on boring DB news during the GJW, so make sure to check the page for all the news.
-The Independence Games ended last week, and at this moment Kaiann has the results of 40 out of the 45 events. When he gets all of the submissions he will announce the results. Taldryan was doing very well last I heard, way to go!
