A Word from the Tetrarch:

Okay folks… we went from the calm to the storm this week, it seems! First of all, I’d like to congratulate everyone in CSK who received an award this week; it’s pretty swank to see a core of folks who can whoop Arcona in half a heartbeat…

Speaking of, the second chapter of the GJW is in full swing! I’m looking over the events sign-up currently, and I see one—ONE—person signed up for events; me. I’m sure you’re all just really busy and have either 1) forgotten to tell me you’re on LoA (which you’ll rectify right quick) or 2) you’re going to sign up for your events by the end of the week. I can’t stress this enough, ladies and gents: we have four people in the phyle that are currently not on LoA, and ALL of us need to participate in something. If you don’t have any of the games, at least sign up for the ACC; you can do a temp sign up, I believe, and writing is 1) independent of a game, 2) is easy, as we’re Krath and naturally good at it, and 3) lag-free! Even if you’re bested by your opponent, remember that we get participation points… and those may inch us ahead of our rivals.

Just a quick run-down of who we’re fighting against, for your information:

Enemies: Arcona, Tarentum. Taldryan

                 Make sure to check your e-mail to keep up on current events and alliances and such. Gord will be sending out more information to us as he gets it, so get prepped and get psyched!  

Our trivia competition is officially rolling, and I’ve noticed nobody’s taken a shot at it yet. I’m thinking I might have made it a little too difficult this first time, so here’s a hint: the food in question is one you’d find on the breakfast table. Remember, medals to the first Tyro who answers!

Lastly, on a more personal note, my activity on IRC may be declining over the course of the month. On the home front, I’m about to return to school, I’m prepping for multiple big tests (think LSAT/MCAT big), I have to form a curriculum for a class I’ve been allowed to teach (Pray it’s not yours! ;) ) and my brother’s getting married! So… if anyone would like to volunteer to pick up a bit of the day-to-day slack—maintaining an IRC presence, helping any new folks get acclimated to Phyle life, encouraging participation, etc.—I’d greatly appreciate it, and I’ll make sure your efforts do not go unnoticed.
