Taldryan Consul Report 7-11-04

Well finally the week everyone has been waiting for, the start of Chapter 2 of the GJW! The story is looking really cool so far, and this round we have to declare war/alliances and I like that aspect, so without further adieu, my report!

The Fifth Great Jedi War

5th GJW - http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/ 2nd Chapter has begun!!

-In this chapter the Great Jedi War presents a scenario to each Clan and a series of challenges. Each challenge fits into another overall goal for the driving of the plot of this Great Jedi War.

-Specific settings for each clan have been e-mailed to the Clan Summits, as those are to be kept secret. Clans will be called upon to make choices and to soothe and incite conflict. The outcome of clan decisions and the success of clan warriors will determine the rewards and future scenarios. Choose wisely - anticipate the actions of rivals and allies. Clans will ultimately be required to decide between the Clan and its success or the success of the Brotherhood as a whole.

-So basically what happens is the leaders of Taldryan along with myself decide who we are going to Declare War on and Declare Alliances with, and we do what’s best for the Clan.

-Currently Clan Taldryan and Clan Arcona have declared an alliance named the “Shadow Pact” (you can use this in any fiction you write for this chapter). We have declared war on all five of the other Clans in the Brotherhood and are battling them all! (keep this in mind when writing/playing/doing any events)

-What this means is if you are planning on doing any multiplayer gaming, you can only play people from Clans we are at war with. Currently that includes the following Clans:

Satal Keto

Tarentum

Naga Sadow

-The list of events for this round is fairly short, so I expect everyone to participate in everything they possibly can (and play LOTS of MP!), here are some quick descriptions of events:

Clan Run On

“War Room and Negotiations” - (This event is for only a select group of people this round, because it deals with the Clan Summit and their decisions)

Fiction

Two topics, “Gather” and “Incursion”, descriptions can be found on the GJW website

Multiplayer

For the following games: JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, Allegiance (Also ACC matches count)

-Now for the multiplayer portion there is something a bit different than usual. To play you first have to go to the GJW website, scroll down through the Chapter 2 Standing Orders to the Multiplayer section and click on “Signup for events”. Then you signup for the events that you want to play in and it will automatically add your name to the list. Then when you want to play, you can just go to the GJW webpage and look up the lists for who is signed up to play what game, and then you can challenge them via IRC or email.

-The submission form is still on the GJW website, just like last chapter.

Clan Taldryan News

-New Cohors Praetoria appointments can be announced now, and are based on who has been competing already in the GJW! The two new members are…Dark Sabre and Dask, who have both been playing MP matches already, good job you two!

-I’ve decided on a company for the new Taldryan JO server, I will be using MammothGames. I’m waiting for an email from one of their reps and then I will order the server, so hopefully it will be up and going within a week!

-Until then, Clan Arcona has both JO and JA servers we can use, the IP address for both is 24.94.194.173, and the password is gjw.

-All Clan Projects and Programs are on hold for the duration of the GJW.

DB News

-Remember all news posts on djb.com are “in character” for the duration of the GJW, so that is why they are a little different than usual.

-A new Combat Master has been appointed, and it is none other than Taldyran’s very own Mal’ari’carun! Congratulations!

• The Weekly Multiplayer Competitions are still going on regardless of the GJW. The dates and times can be found on the Clan Taldryan website in the competitions section.
  

-The Krath Monthly Topics (KMTs) for July are “Déjà Vu” and “Obsession”, more details can be found in the KHPs weekly report. While these are good writing exercises that I like to see our members complete, I STRESS that GJW events should take precedence over these!
