House Qel-Droma of Clan Arcona Report

We hold the shadows in our souls.

Greetings, all.

Firstly, I want to congratulate all of you on your efforts in helping Qel-Droma, and Arcona, become so greatly successful in this recent chapter of the Fifth Great Jedi War. In Chapter 1, the Clan entered a total of 88 actions in the war. For Chapter 2, as of this writing, we have 115 entries! If we maintain this pace, we =will= win this war.

I want to take a moment to recognize and thank three of the best Tetrarchs I think Qel-Droma has yet seen:

Dalthid, a relative newcomer to the Clan, has, despite fighting the most uphill of battles, maintained a positive attitude, fulfilled all the duties required of him, and has begun to initiate new projects for the betterment of the Clan. For all these things, he received a Star of Antei.

Dhak, a stalwart member of Arcona, has helped to lead his team to just over 50% participation in this past Chapter. As well, he too has done all I have asked, in addition to taking on the Clan History project of his own accord. For all these things, he was also awarded a Star of Antei.

And last but not least, alLan Mandragoran. He lead his team in this past chapter to a participation rate of over 90%. Not only that, but he has plotted out future goals, maintained contact with all his Tyros, and has been in constant high spirits at all times. For all these things and more, he was awarded a Steel Cross.

As well, for each of their efforts in the creation of Phyle websites, all three were granted Dark Crosses. Thanks to all.

Brethren, we are almost half-way through this war. In the coming weeks, let us all work towards maintaining the current momentum, and bringing Arcona to its rightful place of glory once again.

I end my portion of this report on a small and intentionally cryptic note: changes are coming. Not bad ones, I assure you, but changes nonetheless. Remember to stay focused, and be alert to the oncoming updates in the war. More is coming soon, and we will be there to meet, and conquer, the challenges ahead.

Yes, yes, yes - yours truly has landed a small role in a seminal Irish

drama called 'The Clinic' - I'm actually a drug addict in the show.. I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I don't look like one, do I? STOP THAT SNIGGERING AT THE BACK!

-WAR UPDATE-

OK, grading's rumoured to be finished around Wednesday and the new

chapter starts off then. However, my advice is to not hold your breath - it could be a week or two longer. Overall, I'm happy with the submissions. We did a helluva lot better than most Clans, so let's hope good things come out of this and that our dominance spills over into the next chapter.

-HOUSE NEWS-

Yes, yes, yes - it's unfortunate, but Cyris has resigned. Dry your

eyes, folks - his replacement is in the wings and we hope it will bring us to a new era of unbridled succsess. Nobody can truly fill Cyris' shoes - we can only hope that the new PCON will bring new ones. :P Anyways, our sympathies go to Cyris and leaving the PCON spot.

But it's not all doom-and-gloom! Poo-loads of medals have been dished

out and all are well-earned! Also, everyone's favourite QUA just became an EPIS! Congrats to the Vassaline on that one. Notice I'm still a KAP.. but.. that's fine. I don't care. I'm not jealous. Not in the slightest. I'm professional. Nope. Not a hint of jealousy from me, I can tell you. I'm happy for him.

Just j/king, people!

Chapter 2 of the GJW is done - hooray! I'm not entirely sure how we finished yet, in what place I mean, but I'm guessing we're up there :)

As for who from Loreseekers participated in anything related to the GJW? I'm pretty sure it was just me - which I am perfectly fine with. [SSSKKREEE-LONK!] Everyone knows that none of you really possess the stones to be any kind of a threat to my being the greatest of this Phyle :P So, take a big whiff - 'cause I'm the shizznit! [THUMP!]

NOTE: The Management of the Loreseekers Phyle humbly requests your forgiveness for the above outburst. It seems that midgets broke into the reporting centre and scuttled the real section of this file.

Not much to report this week except for a VERY BIG THANK YOU!!!!! to

all of those who have taken part in the Great Jedi War so far. I conducted a "half-way" review the other day, and dished out some medals and a couple of promotions. My most heart-felt thanks go out to those who have fought the good fight so far, and a big congratulations to those who were just promoted. As for those who have received awards... well, they are amongst the thousands of other medals being recc'd at the moment, but congratulations on receiving them soon :P There was a problem with recommending one of the awards, but I'll speak to Vassan about that.

Khamier Sarin was the first of them, promoted to Acolyte for an

exceptional turnout in the GJW, certainly more than anyone expected from a Novice. Eight ACC battles, and the poetry for Chapter 1. Very impressive, I'll be keeping an eye on you.

Leara was the other person promoted. She has been here for quite a few

years now, and despite several great performances in the past two years, she is sometimes overlooked. The support she has given me in my Clan History project alone has been tremendous - some 80+ articles, run-ons, stories, histories, etc - and this is not to mention a few other solid performances since becoming a Dark Jedi Knight.

A special mention goes to Ktulu

You will all go under the microscope again at the end of the Great Jedi

War. I do not believe in handing things out piecemeal, but given the size of this competition, I decided that some encouragement was needed at the halfway mark. Perform well through the rest of this competition, and there will probably be more promotions on the way.

In other news, our Proconsul, Cyris Oscura has stepped down. He and I

have had our differences, but we set them aside while he was still Quaestor; I am very sad to see him go, but I am glad that his life is moving in a good direction after the accident that made him reconsider being Combat Master.

To those who are facing real life situations, remember two things:

firstly, this is just an internet fan club, not a way of life. It is an avenue of fun and in some ways, expression, but it should not be the "be all and end all" of anyone's life. Secondly, my 'office' is always open for discussion, if you feel you need to talk about anything. I cannot compare to a relative, or to someone you know, but someone is here.

Aaaaaand Chapter 2 ends!! From what Jac told me, results and Chapter 3 should be out by this Wednesday. Id like to thank everyone in the Phyle who participated, you prophies did a great job! If we keep this up well crush the rest of the Brotherhood! =))

I spent this week trying to find a decent host for the Prophecy Phyle website without much luck. The best one I found is simply refusing connection to its ftp, making it impossible to upload the files. I will continue my search until the site is back online.

Many of our distinguished members who were on Leave have now returned. Our ProConsul Cyris, however, is having quite a lot to do in RL and has decided to resign from his position. Although it is great to hear hes doing quite well in the real world, its always sad to see a good member leave. =(

Chapter 2 is finished! I had planned to run a small comp for us, but it seems Chapter 3 may be starting this Wednesday. So everybody stay sharp. =P

-GOALS/PLANS-

Rebuilding Prophecy so it has a meaning, an identity, will be my main focus as Tetrarch. How are we going to do it?

First of all, we'll be doing it together. It'd be pretty easy for me to just sit and do it all by myself, it'd be quick and shiny and mean nothing. It'll be far more interesting if we all take part in this, sharing ideas and bashing our brains against the keyboard together. Like I said, parts of the rebuild will be done as competitions, other parts won't;

New Phyle Motto: we'll have this changed, so it better reflects the nature of our Phyle. It will be the subject of a quick Phyle Competition;

Phyle Mailing list: nah, we dont need a mailing list. Individual mails are better. =P

New Phyle Website: Ill have to find a new place to host it since I quit my ISP. Dont worry, itll be done shortly. =)

The Big Three: these are the questions we'll be trying to answer with the make-up. "Who are we? What do we do? How do we do it?"

Once we have these accomplished, I trust we'll have a better understanding of our places in this organization, which will extend the fun the Brotherhood promotes to its fullest. :P
