Taldryan Consul Report 8-8-04Report # 65

You guys know you have a dedicated Consul when I’m writing reports while on vacation. Well actually, between a trip to Tennessee to help a friend move and my real vacation which starts tomorrow. News this week is Chapter 3 of the GJW, so lets get going!

5th GJW - http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/ Chapter 3 ends Sunday, August 15!!

-When I first saw the results for Chapter 2, I was not pleased! While a third place spot is still in the top 3…it’s not nearly as good as Taldryan is capable of! However Jac has found some mistakes in the grading for Chapter 2 and is going over them now. I don’t think it will put us into first or second, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be much closer to the top 2 Clans. This means that we need an ALL OUT EFFORT from EVERYONE in these last 2 Chapters of the GJW so we can pull ahead and win!

-Also some of the grading mistakes included members not included for events they submitted to. So I encourage ALL of you to check out the Chapter 2 grading site and make sure that you got credit for all the events you submitted to, and let Sharad ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) know if you didn’t. -The storyline in Chapter 3 is that some of the Brotherhood has been ‘infected’. If your name in your dossier is green, then you’ve been infected! If you are infected then your mission is to spread the infection, if you are clean then you are supposed to end the infection.

-There are only four events for this Chapter because it’s so short. There are Fiction, Poetry, Graphics, and Multiplay events. The Fiction and Poetry only have to be 1 page long, so everyone should try to submit to those!

-The Multiplay in this Chapter has some set rules on who you can and cannot play, due to the infection storyline. There has been some confusion with this, so lets clear that up. Infected Taldryan members should fight Clean Taldryan and Arcona members, while clean Taldryan members fight other clean people in different clans.

Clan Taldryan News

-I’m going to be on LoA for all of next week starting tomorrow, because I’m going on a camping trip. So I will be gone the following days:

Monday, August 9 thru Friday, August 11

I submitted to the Fiction, Poetry, and Graphics events yesterday in my free time, and if I have anymore time today I’m going to try to get in a few games of JO. Now I want to see LOTS of participation from the Clan this time around, because if I can participate in ¾ events in 1 day, then most of you should be able to get them done in 10 days!

Obviously Sharad and Shadow are in charge while I’m away (heads up for Shadow’s thrustage)

-There is going to be some house cleaning done very soon. Today marks the end of my GRD-and-under AWOL check, and I think we will be losing 17 members due to that. Also Quaestor Shadow, PCON Sharad and I have agreed to take a very close look at who participates during the GJW….and who doesn’t! So try to participate in the events you can and help out your Clan! If you have any issues that don’t allow you to participate (RL busy, net connection wacky) let us know ASAP! So be ready for a smaller clan in the post-GJW era.

I will be emailing the MAA to ask that he remove these 20 members after I get confirmations from the Quaestors.

-Normally I would name two new members of the Cohors Praetoria this week, but instead I’m going to wait until next report when I have the numbers of submissions for Chapter 3!

-I’ve been working these last few days on a few of the Clan projects, including the Codex and some other ones. They’re coming along very well and after the GJW is over I’ll be asking for volunteers for some aspects of these projects, so keep an eye open for that.

-I’ve gotten a new Taldryan JO server for all you JO players to use! You can find it here...IP: 66.246.72.196 Password: Talpwnz

-All Clan Projects and Programs are on hold for the duration of the GJW.

DB News

-Most of the news reports are back to the normal “out-of-character” type, yay!

-As I mentioned earlier, Jac is going over the scoring for Chapter 2 of the GJW again to change a few mistakes, so this should change our point totals a bit, the new results should be out soon!

-If you’ve been having trouble writing fiction about the other Clans in the Brotherhood because you don’t know anything about where they live…help has arrived! The KHP has released a temporary website that has Clan System information on it. Mav and Flech are working on a permanent one, but until then you can use this: http://www.krath.org/clans.php

• The Weekly Multiplayer Competitions are still going on regardless of the GJW. The dates and times can be found on the Clan Taldryan website in the competitions section.
  

-The Krath Monthly Topics (KMTs) for August are “How I single-handedly saved the DB and no one believed me”, and “Red”, see the KHP’s weekly report for more information. While these are good writing exercises that I like to see our members complete, I STRESS that GJW events should take precedence over these!
