You know, I feel like things in my life are finally starting to come around. 
For a very long time I have been busy as a mofo. I was working 40 hours 
going to class, doing the DB, doing a fiancée, being in a fraternity. Since 
June, things  have started to fall off. No more fraternity, then no 
more class. Tomorrow is my last day of work, too. I start law school in two 
weeks, but with that it will be School, fiancée, DB. No work! Yaaaay!  



Seriously though, it feels very good to be moving on with my life. I have 
been stuck in college for what feels like eternity, and going to law school 
gives me a chance to start over completely. My GPA starts over, my 
reputation starts over, my friends start over and it feels damn good.


I moved apartments to a place that isn't a trash heap, and joined a gym. I 
told the fiancée I would be back to the weight I met her at by the time we 
get married. By one year from yesterday I need to be in shape. (Chi -- I'll 
go back to looking like Tony Danza)  



Life is good though. I'm a lot more content with things now, and for those 
of you who know me well, that's a big deal. My goal in life is to someday be 
content. Graduating college has moved me one step closer.

Something I am going to start doing in my reports is a situational 
commentary about the DB. Much like my weekly personal rant, but with DB 
Flava!  



So this week has been kinda nuts in the DB. Everything just seems to hit the 
fan at once here. Just the way things have always been.  



I would like to apologize for my post the other day on the news. I was out 
of line. What I said wasn't wrong, but I should have calmed down first and 
said it in a more productive way. If there's one thing everyone in the DB 
should learn from FF, it's calm and patience.  



But, like that post, this is the type of thing I want to address in this 
part of my reports. Because seriously, if the DB is going to be successful, 
we are going to need to not only change the structural things, but the 
mental things.  



As an exercise, being a leader, I try to read over the mission and vision of 
the DB at least once every few weeks. It does help to set myself in a better 
view of the situation. It was designed that way for a reason. As leaders and 
members, it is sometimes easy to lose sight of the big picture while 
focusing on insignificant things. I encourage you to all read the
[mission and 
vision](http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/mission.asp) again and think about what you can do in the DB to be a better 
leader and better member.

Speaking of losing sight of things: In my rush to get things finished for 
Chapter III to start, I lost sight of my main goal of this GJW. I wanted the 
scoring to be fair and accurate. My initial grading of Chapter II was far 
from that, and I am currently going back and revising the scoring system to 
balance things the way they should have been.


Jam3z has helped me out with this by making a page I can use to get 
information from the ACC. Big thanks to Jam3z for that.  



I am going to try to get it all done before Chapter III ends. As a side 
note, we are planning on starting Chapter IV before the Ch III grading is 
done. there should be no more than a day or two delay between chapters this 
time.

  Pyralis is on LoA right now, but he and BF have been coming up with very 
  good stuff. They have expanded it into Order powers, so hopefully we will 
  have both Order and Clan out at the same time.

    In this section of my report I am going to try and list a feature that 
    is going into the new website to make things a little more interesting 
    and perhaps spur more ideas.


    Today, I introduce DOCUTRON 4001 ALPHA GOLD!  



    Err...We're building into the site a very nice documentation/knowledge 
    base system. This is going to be use for a variety of things, from the 
    DSC to Dark Council policies, to FAQs and whatnot, this is going to 
    change the way the DB handles information as within the knowledge base, 
    you will be able to search for relevant information. This will be a 
    night and day difference to our current "Where's that? I dunno!" system.  



    As for  Rebirth on the whole, CG and Jam3z are being very patient 
    with me as I take care of other things (like the GJW). Things are going 
    to be moving a lot quicker soon and I'll have more for you then.  



    Oh -- and Jam3z built this completely kick-ass error reporting system. 
    It R0x0rs your s0x0rs.
