Clan Arcona Report 9/5/2004

“Light is limited, Darkness is infinite”

Greetings, all.

It’s been a fairly busy week, so far as Clan matters go. I want to give you all a general run-down on what will be happening soon, so it does not come across as too much of a shock when it occurs.

Firstly, the Houses will soon be, completely, open as Multi-Ordered groups. I’ve just received the nods from both the DGM and EMS for this to be done. House transfers in-Clan should be allowed soon, even during the GJW. Inter-Clan transfers will remain restricted until the Jedi War concludes.

Second, in order to take the most advantage of our multi-Order Houses, and to begin setting the tone for the future, I am pleased to announce that we will soon have a multi-Ordered summit in each House. As of this writing:

House Oriens Obscurum, lead by Quaestor Demosthenes (Sith) and Aedile Elliad Gavron (Krath)

House Galeres, lead by Quaestor Koskian d’Tana (Obelisk) and Aedile Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler (Krath)

House Qel-Droma, lead by Quaestor Laethan Ciarus (Krath) and Aedile Halcyon Rokir Arconae (Sith)

The movement into these positions should be made and finalized as soon as the Houses are coded accordingly.

Now, as to the subject of Battleteams, I have asked that each House be allowed to have one Battleteam per Order. Though current Clan population will not support three Battleteams per House, I wanted to make sure the option was open as things evolve in the Clan.

Chapter 4 has been released and it’s on a short schedule. All entries must be in by the 17th. As of yesterday there was a new writing portion added, and a little bird tells me there =may= be a Single-Player JA/JO event to be added soon as well, so keep a watch out.

Immediately following the GJW, there will be a culling of the Clan population. I will be reviewing all dossiers of members who have not participated in the Great Jedi War. I will be looking to see who has done what over the last 4 months. A few reminders:

-New members (i.e. people that have joined in the last 4 months) are not subject to removal

-Exams, ICTEs, ACC battles, etc. all count as activity, in my book, even if the GJW was not touched. So long as there is some record of activity on one’s event history, they will not be removed.

-Veteran members of the Clan (i.e. Voranyen, Frost) will not be removed.

-=The Future=-

I have just finished the details regarding the first monthly Clan/House event, to take place during the first full month immediately following the closure of the GJW. As soon as the House summits are officially seated, I will be sending the outline to them, because the bulk of the event will depend on their input.

And speaking of input: though many of the things mentioned in this report may seem like an official “closing” of certain topics currently active on the Clan MBs, do not think this is so. As things change and new ideas occur, either by myself or by you, I encourage everyone to open your thoughts to the floor, and begin a new topic on the boards.

Only when we work together as a group can we truly call ourselves a Clan, and maintaining open lines of communication with each other is vital to that ideal.
