Let's put "report" above this because I have a few things to say and it's been a while since I put this title over stuff I posted :)

Life in general

What's a report without some RL thrown in ? Right, almost unknown. So I will say a few things that affect the Brotherhood as well.

A bunch of you might know that I was now and then talking of a house I'd soon be moving into. Well, not a Brotherhood House (get your hopes down, position vultures!) but a real one. And now it's almost done and ready to move which means over the next three weeks, you'll see less of me than usual while I try to get my stuff from place A to cardboard boxes to a truck to place B and then back out of the truck and boxes. I am also unsure as to when I will have enough Internet in the new place to be able to move the server I am maintaining - I however have until end of October to move that part of hardware.

In the case I will not have a new permanent line connection by then, some services will be interrupted. I will move krath.org to the DB server, but those using me for email would need to open a webmail account for that time (to which I can redirect the addresses at DNS level). Private sites may suffer service interruption, so all start bugging the German Telecom and VIAnetworks to make it in time for me :)

Lastly in this section, it's September and September also always brings a few business-related days in Amsterdam for me (not that that would fit my schedules at all this year!) and thus I'll be largely unavailable from this afternoon to Sunday night. I'll try to read email once or twice a day however.

All Shadow Academy questions that don't need my personal attention should be directed to Spears for the next weeks. I'll do what I can, but things may have significantly longer response times than normal.

Courses, courses, courses

With the GJW nearing completion, some of those course creators seem to come back out of their holes. I have received an advanced HTML curriculum from Mune Isradia which I sent to editing for a little language polishing, that one should hopefully make it online next week.

I also heard that the notes for advanced poetry are done and all that's missing is half the exam. Lannie might update you on that one herself in her next report. She definitely has my permission.

On the other hand, I am still waiting on the final draft of Fiction Writing I (and if don't have that by end of the month, part II will go online without it) and the revised version of the Computer Security course (which I might also finish myself or delegate to get done). The respective authors know who they are.

And then there's Jac's course. We'll really have to see how to make this both useful and still fun to do, but some additional competence in making good proposals (and evaluating stuff oneself) can only help the Brotherhood.

Great Jedi War

You all know I was quite busy grading stuff over the last weeks and there's also this little event for phase 4. I might point out that you should be leaving all science knowledge aside when solving this (there are no 2-dimensionally interwoven proteins in the real world, but the Star Wars universe is ahead of us anyway :) ). Treat the amino acids as letters and try to make a crossword. That simple :)
