Taldryan Consul Report 9-13-04Report # 70
Yay for report number 70 .and sorry its a day late! I made a quick trip to Indiana on Sunday and didnt get back as quickly as I had anticipated. As I write this report there are only four days left for Chapter 4 of the GJW, so check out the GJW section for my motivation/begging for submissions (and other info)!

-Chapter 4 ends on September 17th at 11:59pm EST, so get your submissions in before then!
-Chapter 4 events:
1) Multiplayer - Infected members vs. clean members, play matches!
2) Fiction/Multimedia
Recordings of What Has Been
For Clean Members: Using all information gathered to date, submit an entry on "the infection" to the Dark Brotherhood datanet.
For Infected Members: Using all information gathered to date, submit a brief entry on the fall of the Dark Brotherhood to the Consciousness.
Submissions may either be a graphic file, a word processed file, or any other manner of media file, as well as any combination of media (such as a document with graphics). For unusual file types, please consult Mav before creating your submission. This counts as one event, and as such, Clean and Infected submissions will be graded together, on quality, content and appearance.
3) Fiction
Black Dawn
Detail the battle for the Shadow Academy on Lyspair. Your character may or may not have taken part in the engagement.
Submit a story about the battle for the Shadow Academy. Information on Shadow Academy defenses and Dark Council members which might be present available here: http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/chapterfourextra.asp
Length: 3 page minimum, 12 point times, 1 inch margins, .doc format.
4) Puzzle
Unlocking the Cure
HM Kaiann has uncovered groundbreaking information on a cure for the infection. Continue his work and uncover the cure for the Virus.
Download and read the following .doc file: http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/GJWPhase4puzzle.doc (Also available in .html and .rtf format.). Complete the included puzzle table. If you have trouble downloading or viewing the files, please contact Mav. Submit .doc/.rtf/.html files.
-Sharad emailed the Clan with an excel file that will help you with the puzzle by automatically calculating the percentages for you (therefore telling you what your score will be). If you need that just email Sharad and he can foward it to you.
-All you Krath members or anyone who likes writing should be happy, because there are 2 events you can write fiction for this chapter! Also those of you who don't like writing should also be happy, because the Fiction/Multimedia event allows you to do pretty much whatever you want that fits the description (for instance, I did a graphic), so you don't have to write! The puzzle sounds confusing at first but in reality its just a crossword puzzle with made-up words! (email Sharad if you have questions on the puzzle). We need more submissions in the last 4 days everyone, so lets get going!
-Apparently Chapter 4 is not the end of the GJW, I have heard there will be several more events after Chapter 4 including more single-player missions. So lets participate a lot for Chapter 4 and then kick ass in those extra missions and win this GJW!

-Its time for me to announce two new members of the Cohors Praetoria. This weeks decision was pretty easy based on their activity levels on IRC and multiplaying lately congratulations to Chaosrain and Quejo!!
-The Clan and House summits are already brainstorming/working on competitions and other fun stuff for after the GJW, so be ready for that!
-All Clan Projects and Programs are on hold for the duration of the GJW.
