[ State of the Order> Well, the biggest news I can think of for the Order, and the DB as a whole, is the Battlefront server. It's up and running, and as Kaine has said in his report, it's extremely popular. It seems to have a good ping, and because it's a larger server, more people are attracted to it. However, if it gets to be a nuisance, I can put a password on it, so that only DB people, and those we invite can get on it. I'm a little hesitant to do that at the moment, simply because there's the option of Clans being able to recruit from within the server.

The other option I have open is to increase the player-size of the server. The one we're actually going to have is a 50-player server, and the owner of Primary Target told me that I can bump this server up, to see how it reacts with different player-size loads. Maybe I'll take it up to 30 or more, and see how it reacts for us. One way or another, though, if you're having problems getting on, let me know, and I can try and accomodate you. If a group from the DB, and our allies, wants on, and there's too many public players, I'll stop it for a few, password it, and then bring it back up for us while we need it private.

I've got a few people helping me with missions. One of my goals is to have a battle compendium as soon as we can get one up. While not many people are playing the flying sims as much, I believe people would play, if they felt confident in their abilities. One of the best ways to do that, is to have missions and such to practice on for single player. The other thing is, as Predator noted to me, some people just don't have the time to MP. I want to be able to accomodate everyone, so we'll be working on developing a number of different missions and campaigns.

<a name="#recog"> The Sith Order recognizes...> Today I've decided to recognize Demosthenes. Demos has been working hard in trying to drum up support for Battlefront, and has been playing a lot. I'd like to recognize his efforts, as well as those from everyone who contributed to the server. We wouldn't have it without every one of them, and I'd like to mention them by name: Gryffon, Spears, Telona, Oberst, Jac, Selket, Pyralis, Trev and Dalthid. I appreciate them, and their financial support more than I can say. I've also had other people commit to donating in the coming weeks, and I appreciate them for helping us pay for this server. I think it'll be a lot of fun, and we'll all be able to enjoy it.

<a name="#ssbc"> Sith Site/Battle Compendium> As I mentioned up above, the battle compendium is a priority, and there are people working on it. Also, for the site, Mejas has worked on a layout for me, and Rekio has some ideas for images that he's going to send to me hinthint, so that I can pass them onto Mejas, so he can see about changing it up a bit. I'm hoping to have a bit more to tell in the next few weeks.

<a name="#sific"> Sith in Fiction> Alanna has put out the KMTs, and I'd love to see some Sith participation in these. I'm going to offer a DC for anyone in the Sith or Obelisk who can "Beat the Krath." If you can get into the top three places, you get a DC. If we get a sweep, Sith or Obelisk all taking the top three places, I'll bump that up to a Star of Antei. I think we have many, many talented writers, and they're not just from the krath Order. Some of our Krath are just as talented as gamers, so lets show them they're not the ones with the lion's share of writing talent. Oh, and lets give Lannie and her staff a LOT to read. I'd love to see a mob of submissions sent in this month that aren't Krath.

<a name="#comps"> Competitions> As I mentioned above, the KMTs are going on, as is my little fun comp, for humorous images (also, sayings; I noticed today that Kir thre up a bunch of great one-liners). The ICTE is also today, so I'd love to see a mob of people out participating. Especially in Battlefront, let's see how many people we can get playing. We're also waiting on the GJW Epilogue, but while we're waiting to hit that up hard, lets get out and just have some fun. Don't worry about medals, don't worry about rivalry, just worry about enjoyment, which is what this club is about.

<a name="#misc"> Miscellaneous> I'm going to be emailing the Serpenti; I have some ideas I'd like to discuss with all of you. Look for that in your inbox sometime tonight. I also won't be around for a space this afternoon; I'm heading up to the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing center. There's an annual bazzar, and it's something my ASL (sign language) teacher told us would be a good opportunity to learn sign, and interact witht he Deaf community. So, I'll be up there for a while this afternoon.

<a name="#conc"> Conclusion> We've had a lot of participation with Battlefront today, but lets not get burned out with it. Just remember to keep it all in fun. There's a Teamspeak server, and I have to suggest downloading and installing Teamspeak, even if you don't have a mic. I'll say this: it was hysterical listening to Demos, Cyris, Kessian, Benevolent, and some of the others talk to each other yesterday while they were playing. Download it and get Teamspeak, even if only for the blackmail factor. :P Heh, just kidding guys. There's a lot of plans that I have going on, one which is for the Sith Order school (for Order Powers), some changes within the Serpenti (mostly for a fictional purpose, background, etc.), and even changes in the Sith fleet. There's a lot of opportunities for people to take part in the Sith Order, and no, you don't have to have Battlefront, you don't have to have the flying games; hell, yo don't have to have any games. There's still the old consideration that Orders are based on certain games, and I want to help people clear that up. People with JO/JA can be Sith; people who write can be Sith; people in general can beSith. Don't worry about what games you have, or don't have. Just worry about what you want to be, and we'll take care of the rest.
