Something that started as a joke will end as a real work. I know it may sound strange, but it's true as solid stone, Alvaak is still alive and it's looking for dedicated members to be rebuild from the ashes. I know that most people don't like Alvaak because it has always been Ronin's Clan but now those days are gone. I've just been given the possibility to work on this Clan without the pressure of the GA over our shoulder and finally Alvaak could be the Clan is was mean to be. Old clansmen will be welcome to return to the home most of us lost for more reasons that it's worth to mention and we also looking for members willing to do the difference here and now. In those days of truble where the EH looks us upside-down, calling us traitors or worst, it needs the dedication and the hard work of his members to keep alive a Clan. Why keep Alvaak alive ? It's true that has always been the GA Clan but it's also true that it was the first clan ever created inside the DB and I belive it must be take alive as a simbol of our freedom and our willingnes to be a place of fun and joy instead of a place for fastpromos or personal gain. All those members that will recive in the next few days the responsability to lead our houses and their members will be chaged with the amazing goal of build a Clan worth that name. No Clan has ever faced such dire situation and it will take the best of us to achive this goal but I belive if we stay close and true to eachother it can be done. If you belive that I or anyone after me can became another Frey like CON, lemme assure you that it won't happen again as now, free from the EH, the Grand Master will be finally able to remove those members that aren't doing their job.
Again I'll welcome back my old clansmen and welcome in all of you willing to do your very best for the good of the Clan and of the DB. If you want to left your sign in the history of the Brotherhood, that's the place and now is the time.

The name Alvaak holds a lot of sentimental value to some members and I hope that the brotherhood decides to keep it. If we allow Alvaak to continue, it further proves that the DB is free of the EH, showing that the GA's old clan can flourish apart from him. However, I do agree that the name House Ronin which was named simply to idolize the Fleet Commandershould be changed.
I think we really need to change the name. What's the point in angering Ronin by keeping a name he came up with? Sentimental values or not, it is highly illogical at this point in time ;(
I'm glad that the Clan itself will survive, and hope it flourishes, but I also agree that we should probably consider at least changing the name of Clan Alvaak. The name is directly tied to GA Ronin, regardless of whatever sentimental value it may have to members of this DB.
However, if you want a name with sentimental value, why not rename Clan Alvaak into Clan Aquillas. I know that name holds a great deal of sentimental value for many people, too.
Aquillas would go pretty well with the Latin House names Auctoritas and Dominatus... but I guess this decision should be left to the former Aquillans if they want to see their Clan restored in this way. It might however attract a few more people than the Alvaak variant.
But from what I heard, Aquillas already/still has a designated CON should that Clan ever return so this effort would somewhat clash with Khan's and then this otherwise good idea might be nixed because of two people having a right to the Clan's top position.
As long as there aren't nasty letters from Ronin, we could probably keep the Clan named Alvaak.
If we have to change it, and Aquillas isn't an option, why not Ar'Kell? That is another great name from the DB's past, and this could be a chance to redeem it.
Whatever the decision is regarding Alvaak's name, I wish you good luck in your quest Khan. My clan is also in ruins, if there will be any attempts to rebuild it I want to be there, but if not, you can count on me.
