[ State of the Order> We've had a decent number of recruits lately to the Sith Order. I've been happy to see several names in just this last week alone, in my inbox, for people who have passed the Sith Test of Lore, and been transferred into Clans. I need to look over the Sith tests in the Shadow Academy, though, and make sure that they're current, and matching up to the appropriate beliefs and stereotypes of the Sith Order. With the results of the GJW coming out, congratulations must go out to Taldryan for winning the War, along with Tarentum and Arcona for placing Second and Third respectively. By looking at the results for the Epilogue, it's rather clear that Tarentum is still a force to be reckoned with among this Order, but there's also clear evidence that there are a good number of people in Taldryan, Arcona, Satal Keto, and even Naga Sadow and Exar Kun that are still playing some of the LucasArts flight sims, at least in SP.
For the people who still play SP, members of my Staff, along with others, are going to be working to put together missions and campaigns that detail some of the major, fictional events of Brotherhood history. Hopefully, we'll be able to put them up on at least a temporary HTML page, somewhere on djb.com, or elsewhere. But I'd really like to see people taking it into account that, we really need to be paying attention to fictional happenings as a Brotherhood, but especially as the Sith Order. We don't want to keep going along the lines of being fighter jockeys, or an Order who just floats along, and flies meaningless missions once in a while.
However, we also want to increase our standings elsewhere. I'm still waiting to see people tell me who has Allegiance, and who wants to play it. I suggest that, if you have it, find someone in your Clans to help me promote it. Allegiance will play a major role in the Sith War next year, because I think it's an important game, and I think we all need to make good use of it. If you're looking for it, it's a FREE download, and you don't have to pay even a wooden nickel to play it. You can download everything at: http://www.freeallegiance.org/login.shtml, where it says "Download the Allegiance Installer." It's 49 MB, but it's a great game, and really should be utilized.

The Sith Order recognizes...> Today, I'd like to recognize the work of people who help make sure that I continue moving forward, that I leave no project undone, and that I work in a timely manner. I'd like to recognize the work of my Staff, in everything they've done. Rekio, Syn and Lenzar, in unison with other missions designers such as Pyralis and al'Lan are going to be working on those fictional battles. Anyone else who would like to help, contact me, of course. But there is also Donitz, who was brought on because of his tenure, and his expertise in the area of combat and strategy. I have asked Donitz to help develop the wargame, and he was excited to do so. He has had much in the way of past experience, and he's had a lot of great ideas that the DB will benefit from. I'd like to thank, and recognize these people, and all their work, and let you know, this Order is made better because of them, and their dedication.

Sith Site/Battle Compendium> Slightly in limbo. Mejas has done a layout for us, but Rekio has had some ideas, and I found some other images, that Mejas is going to try and work in, and make the site layout even better. As for the Compendium, that's being worked on, and as I said just a bit ago, we're hoping to have at least an HTML link somewhere on djb.com soon.

Sith in Fiction> The Sith History in the DSC is another project that will eventually get started, and the historical figures of the Order will be changed, or added to. I'd like to work a bit more on fictionalizing the original Dark Lords of the Sith, those Jedi who fell away from the Order, and enslaved the Sith race. This still is a major part of the Order's history, since it goes back to when the Sith were a race, where our foundations lay. I'm going to be putting out a comp for a period of three months, starting today. Anyone who wishes to participate, I want you to write a description, and brief history, of any of the Dark Lords prior to Marka Ragnos. Include pictures if you wish, also. The best entries will become part of the line of Dark Lords who will be added to the DSC, and who will become part our our great lineage. Members of the Sith Order, I really encourage you to participate in this, but this is open to everyone. Obelisk and Krath, I know you like to write as well, so this is a chance to have your own influence placed upon the Sith Order. This competition will run until January 31st, 11:59 PM EST, so that everyone has ample time, and so that you can participate in what competitions come along from your Clans, or elsewhere.

Competitions> Weekly competitions are still going, of course, in #gmrg on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you haven't yet visited the Undernet, go download mIRC from
http://www.mirc.com, and come join us. mIRC is a free download, and can be used pretty much by anyone. We also have the ICTE every Saturday in #outerrim, and those who qualify in any of these events can play in the bi-weekly Sunday Tournaments, wherein you'll compete for Tournament Points that can go to purchase anything from this list: http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/message_board/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2557. Also, as you may have noticed just above, I'm also putting out a "Sith Lords Creation" comp (better name to be added soon). If you want to add your creativity to the history of the Sith, get inspired, and submit something to [Log in to view e-mail addresses].

More news on this to follow, but if these rumors prove to be true, congratulations to the happy couple. :P

Conclusion> In conclusion, we've had a lot of new faces lately, and that's awesome. We need to make sure we're encouraging these new recruits. Also, there's a lot of people playing Battlefront, and that's a good place to recruit from. There's a new patch coming out for it, hopefully soon, which should really increase the "desirability" of the game. Allegiance really needs to be pushed in the Clans, because it's an excellent game, and has a great amount of potential within our Club. Allegiance is going to make a major role in the Sith War next year, so I encourage you all to get it, and practice playing. A lot of competitions are going on, and will be going on, so there's plenty to do, and I'll help you find something "your style" if you need help. As always, just email me if you need assistance. Be ready for the Sunday Tournament next week, and let's make sure we all have a great week this week. Congrats again to Taldryan, and to Tarentum and Arcona for their excellent efforts, as well.
