Alright well this is the post-holiday CON report, so I hope everyone had a good time in the past couple weeks and are rested up and ready to keep going on DB stuff! On my front, I moved back to school a week early (to escape living at home), and I will be spending this week doing some various things before classes start next week. This includes catching up on all the DB stuff that has piled up on my proverbial desk. Starting with this report!

Clan Taldryan News

-Proconsul Sharad Taldrya Hett resigned from his position last week. Im sure you all read the email I sent out concerning it, so Ill just say he was awesome to work with! He will be sticking around in Taldryan however, so we wont miss him too much. Applications for PCON have been opened to the entire DB, but that includes all of you so apply if you would like (see my message board post for what to include)

-Two weeks ago I sent out an attached copy of a Clan Survey I wrote. So far I have gotten 10 responses and Im hoping for 20-25. I especially would like input from people who have been in Taldryan at least 3 months. PLEASE take some time to fill out the survey and submit it, following the instructions contained at the beginning. I know it might seem long, but some of the questions are only for members of one house or another, so it isnt that bad. This survey is CRUCIAL to helping the leaders of Clan Taldryan create the best environment for all of our members.

(Note to everyone: I will keep annoying you all until I get a good amount of responses. You should remember the GJW...and therefore remember my ability to annoy people until they do what I wantso save yourself the trouble and just do it!)

-My two competitions, Name that ship! and Kirs Christmas both ended on the 31st. I have organized all the entries and I will be reading through all of them this week. I will therefore announce winners of both competitions in my report next week!

-I mentioned before that I will be starting Clan Trivia to give out LSSs so that you can get them from a different place other than just weekly DB trivia. Well this week I will start. Therefore at the end of this report you will find a new Trivia section with questions in it. The first 3 people to submit 100% correct answers to me will win! Email your answers to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] only, DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL OR YOUR ANSWERS WILL BE SENT TO THE ENTIRE CLAN!! If this happens then the trivia for this week will be null and void and no one will be rewardedso everyone will be very angry if anyone does this, so DONT!!!

-Another note on Clan Trivia. Since it takes awhile to think of/research questions and answers, I have decided to open up trivia creation as well. So if you want an LSS but you dont think you can win the trivia, just write up 25 trivia questions/answers that are related to the Brotherhood, Taldryan, or Star Wars in general, and send them to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Ill look them over and award you the LSS, and then your questions will be used by the rest of the Clan!

-House Dinaari members should get working on PIFs, its a pretty important and helpful competition.

-I started a competition last week that is only open to Leaders in Clan Taldryan. Basically they all compete against each other every week for the best report. This weeks winner was Dinaari AED Benevolent with his report which can be seen here:

-Its time for me to announce two new members of the Cohors Praetoria for the next two weeks, and my choices are.Locust and Benevolent! Locust has been pwning up the MP competitions, and Ben has been his normal awesome-AED self while doing other cool stuff too! Congratulations you two!

-Due to a small coding problem (the form only uses the year 2004, not 2005!) the Competitions page of the Taldryan website cannot be updated until this is fixed. This shouldnt take more than a day or so, please bear with us.

DB News

-You all should have gotten my email about the very important competition that the SHW is running. If Taldryan wins we can get 100 tourney points for our Clan! Multiplayer Competitions-

Tuesday 1v1 Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held all day Tuesday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Tuesdays are "solo" nights; meaning only 1 vs. 1 games will be played. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.

Thursday Team Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be all day Thursday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Thursdays are "team" nights, meaning matches can only be played with at least teams of 2 vs. 2. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.

Interclub Training Event

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held every Saturday evening in #outerrim. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Players come from DB and allied online gaming groups. Signup bots will be used, so use the !signup command on IRC to get matches in #outerrim. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.

Biweekly Sunday Tournament

Those people who participate in at least one match in the above listed weekly multiplayer competitions will be invited to play every other week in a Tournament on Sunday. There isnt any specific structure, you just play as many matches as you would like and the person with the most wins during the day wins the Tournament. Everyone gets points for wins that they can use to buy personal possessions, and the total of all the points Taldryan members earn the Clan also earns as a whole to buy cool Clan stuff!
