Well another week of DBing gone by, yay! I came back to school last week with the intention of getting stuff donebut what happened was that I rented a bunch of movies instead, and ended up doing very little. I did however get a good amount of DB work done, so thats good! Alright then, lets get to the report!

Clan Taldryan News

-The first issue of the Tal Times was released a couple days ago! You can find it here: http://www.taldryan.org/taltimes/1/. I hope you all enjoy it, feel free to send me some feedback!

-I sent out an email yesterday about needing more Tal Times staff, but I will repeat myself here. We need some more writers to help us write the Times since we lost a few members. So if you want to help us out, email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]!

-A lot of the time I spent doing DB work this week was taken up gathering the information I acquired in returned surveys. I have received 11 so far, and I would like to get at least 20-25. So that means at least 9 more of you need to step up to the plate and fill one out!

One more note on the surveys several people have mentioned they do not believe they are totally anonymous. I want to assure everyone that I have no idea who sends them in. When you fill out the form and hit submit on the page, the website acts as a forwarding address and sends me an email. The subject line is Input from Taldryan Site, and says it is from Taldryan g0d [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. So you can be secure that I will not know who says what, so be honest!

-I said last week that I would release the winners of the two competitions I ran. I am still working on picking the correct ship names, but here are the winners of the Kirs Christmas competition:

-Another note on Clan Trivia. Since it takes awhile to think of/research questions and answers, I have decided to open up trivia creation as well. So if you want an LSS but you dont think you can win the trivia, just write up 25 trivia questions/answers that are related to the Brotherhood, Taldryan, or Star Wars in general, and send them to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. Ill look them over and award you the LSS, and then your questions will be used by the rest of the Clan!

-Both House Dinaari and Ektrosis are currently running AWOL checks because the Krath RoS calculates points based on participation percentage. So if you are alive remember to check in with your QUA!

-The date bug in the Competitions page has been fixed and I have updated them. So if you wish to see all the newest competitions in the DB and Taldryan, see the Competitions section of the Taldryan website (http://www.taldryan.org/competitions.php)

DB News

-The Krath Rite of Supremacy has started! See details here: http://www.krath.org/RoS.php This is an important competition that everyone (all orders) can participate in, so get going!

-The Jedi Outcast WoW (run by battlestats) has started and the DB is registered. It goes until 1pm on Friday the 14th, so if you want to participate you can.

-The Obelisk Core SA test has been rewritten by its amazing EP (you guessed it, thats me) so if you havent taken it yetdo that!

-You all should have gotten my email about the very important competition that the SHW is running. If Taldryan wins we can get 100 tourney points for our Clan! Multiplayer Competitions-

Tuesday 1v1 Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held all day Tuesday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Tuesdays are "solo" nights; meaning only 1 vs. 1 games will be played. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.

Thursday Team Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be all day Thursday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Thursdays are "team" nights, meaning matches can only be played with at least teams of 2 vs. 2. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.

Interclub Training Event

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held every Saturday evening in #outerrim. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Players come from DB and allied online gaming groups. Signup bots will be used, so use the !signup command on IRC to get matches in #outerrim. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.

Biweekly Sunday Tournament

Those people who participate in at least one match in the above listed weekly multiplayer competitions will be invited to play every other week in a Tournament on Sunday. There isnt any specific structure, you just play as many matches as you would like and the person with the most wins during the day wins the Tournament. Everyone gets points for wins that they can use to buy personal possessions, and the total of all the points Taldryan members earn the Clan also earns as a whole to buy cool Clan stuff!
