Taldryan Consul Report 1-17-05 Report # 88
Wow, 88 reports I think I will have to come up with something super-cool and awesome for report #100 thats just a note to myself for you all. This week was my first week of class and Ive determined that I can definitely get a 4.0 this semester if I just keep up with my work like that will happen. Alright well nothing interesting up here, so lets get to some clan news. Oh and no trivia this week, sorry boys and girls.
Clan Taldryan News
-Topping the Clan news this week is the gain of 3 new members for Taldryan. These are Obelisk Primarch Sithspawn, Krath Epis Bubbles, and Obelisk Prelate Qiao-Long (Shaithis). Sithspawn (`peer if you are on IRC at all) is a Tal oldie who served as both Taldryan CON and PCON. Bubbles is another old member who served as QUA of Ektrosis. Finally former OHC and Dinaari QUA Shaithis has rejoined us. Im very glad to have these three members back in Taldryan, and so should the rest of you!
-Very near to the top of clan news this week is a very special award. You all know PCON Sharad resigned a few weeks ago. Well since then the leaders in Taldryan have been working together and we were finally able to reward him with a Ruby Scepter for all his work. -Dinaari finished their AWOL check and lost 12 members, and I think Ektrosis is about to AWOL 5 of their own, so that will bring our clan down to the nice and tidy number of about 42. Personally I like the cozier clan with lots of actives, so Im happy about this!
-I sent out an email yesterday about needing more Tal Times staff, but I will repeat myself here. We need some more writers to help us write the Times since we lost a few members. So if you want to help us out, email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]!
-Ive received 13 filled out surveys so far, and I would REALLY like to get 7 more. So if you havent filled out a survey yet please, please, please, Im begging you to fill this out. If it didnt have to be anonymous Id award for work like this, but help me out everyone and fill this one out for free and Ill owe you all!
-After several rounds of voting I finally got the winners for my Name that ship! competition, and here they are:

DB News
-Chapter 1 of the Krath Rite of Supremacy is almost over! See details here: http://www.krath.org/RoS.php Get your submissions in and post for the run-on!
-The HRLD sent out an important message for everyone with a custom lightsaber. If you have a custom lightsaber in your DB dossier, email the HRLD using the subject line CLS Report and include your dossier number and ID line. He is using this information to check to make sure they all fit standards, and to create a database of lightsabers. This is required, so have it done by February 1st.
-The GM and DGM are accepting applications for the position of OHC, they are due by 11:59pm EST Tuesday (thats today!), for more details check here:

-The last submissions to the Dark Voice were accepted about 20 minutes so (midnight on Monday), so I hope some of you submitted!
-The SWBF WoW (run by battlestats) has started and the DB is registered. It goes until 12pm on Friday the 21st, so if you want to participate you can. (email the CoG for details)
-The DBPA (group for SWG players in the DB) has been restructured. It is has been moved down from a Society to merely a guild, and Raidoner has been put in charge of running it. As a guild it is merely considered a side-game that some DBers play, but is not a sanctioned DB platform. The former DC position of Baron has been removed.
-Arcona Consul Vassan stepped down this week and was replaced by former PCON Archpriest alLan Mandragoran (Lan on IRC).
-The KMTs (monthly fiction topics) for January are Beauty Pageant., and My wish.

Multiplayer Competitions-
Tuesday 1v1 Night
Multiplayer gaming night that will be held all day Tuesday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Tuesdays are "solo" nights; meaning only 1 vs. 1 games will be played. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.
Thursday Team Night
Multiplayer gaming night that will be all day Thursday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Thursdays are "team" nights, meaning matches can only be played with at least teams of 2 vs. 2. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.
Interclub Training Event
Multiplayer gaming night that will be held every Saturday evening in #outerrim. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Players come from DB and allied online gaming groups. Signup bots will be used, so use the !signup command on IRC to get matches in #outerrim. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.
Biweekly Sunday Tournament
Those people who participate in at least one match in the above listed weekly multiplayer competitions will be invited to play every other week in a Tournament on Sunday. There isnt any specific structure, you just play as many matches as you would like and the person with the most wins during the day wins the Tournament. Everyone gets points for wins that they can use to buy personal possessions, and the total of all the points Taldryan members earn the Clan also earns as a whole to buy cool Clan stuff!
