Wow... a lot of new awards and some big changes! And I was awarded one of the new awards! I was quite shocked. Many
thanks to everyone.
I am still planning a team-based multiplayer Jedi Academy event, and I still need someone to help me test things
before hand. If you have JA and some free time, drop me a line... or if you're on IRC, come to #HRLD when I'm
around. If you hop into #HRLD and I'm not there, I'm not up for testing.
Many thanks already to ACO Doku and DJK Ma'ar-Tyrius Ga-Tir for their great help in testing the Siege mode. They really opened my eyes to a great option for competitions. I'd still like to test it with more players, so message me if you're interested!
Nothing new this week. It's been way too busy IRL.
Grant Of Arms Requests These are still on hold - as in don't request them. I'm still getting a few requests every couple days.
Custom Lightsabers
None submitted. None requested. None created this week.
Report your custom lightsaber. No Penalty Week ends Feb 12.
Voice of Evil
[General
Grevious](http://www.theforce.net/episode3/story/Grievous_Finds_His_Voice_89295.asp) has been given his most defining characteristic... a voice. Check out what the man behind the voice
had to say about his experience with creating a new menace.
Mini Madness
Much in the line of games like MageKnight and HeroClix comes an all new one - with a Star Wars twist of course. ATTACKTIX is being
released by Hasbro this Spring, and though the initial focus is on ROTS, it will eventually have expansions that
branch into the other five films. You can see more about what's coming in the first wave here.
Sequel Hits PC (finally)
For all of you who don't have an XBOX, Knights Of The Old Republic II is being released for the PC this
coming Tuesday. I don't know why they had to be stupid and release it two months later, but that's LucasArts for
ya.
Public Commander
The Republic Commando demo hit the 'net this week and ho boy is it hot. If you can run UT2k3 you
should be fine for RC. I'd seriously recommend anyone to get this, especially if squad-based combat is up your
alley.
Meh - what can I say? Work... is work. It sucks. But just so you're all in on the joke, the "Public Commander"
title comes directly from a guy at work. He's mentally handicapped, and often says messed up things. When I was
telling him about the games I was looking forward to I named off KOTOR2 and RC, among many others. He said "what's
that Public Commander about?"
The homefront is as so-so as ever. I have a party to attend this Saturday, so I'll miss out on the meeting. I am
not all too pleased with missing them all the time, but hey - I get these reports out there, right? :)
Played some BFV... then threw the CD away. Yeah I'm doing better than the handicapped kid from work, but being the
"Kenny McCormick" of the group has become very tiresome. I was having the crappiest night yet when I decided I'd
try just one more map... 15 seconds into the map, four of us in my squad were walking up to a hostile point.
"Enemies to the north," Ender said. "I'm on them," I stated. I soon died. The other three lived, killed them all,
and took over the point.
It was at that point I shut down BFV, took the CD out of thr drive, placed it neatly back in its case, and tossed
the case over my shoulder. Where it is now is beyond me. I haven't played BFV since then, and I don't intend on
looking for the disc for another week or so.
Planning my own business is becoming the thing I do at work. Well, that and checking the spiffy DJB Forums. Yeah -
I should probably concentrate on all that military stuff a little more but I have people who I pass the work off
to. The big hang-up is the most important aspect of the business: location. I think I've narrowed it down to two
locations... now it's all about cost. Meh - whatever. Not like you all care, right?
