Konnichi wa, meat puppets. Time for yet another report from your friendly neighbourhood Aedile... do you fear?

As you may have gathered from Muzs report (and Links as well) it’s still all about the Krath RoS. Go and participate in Chapter 3! And post on the Run-on on the new message boards- it’s really going somewhere now, and developing into a most intriguing story. We have a secure hold on second place, but we need to consolidate our position by aiming high! Aim for first place, and Taldryan stands no chance!

Speaking of which, I think it’s quite possible that I might be facing the Combat Master (who just so happens to be in Taldryan) in the final of the Krath RoS ACC Ladder. Although I have my suspicions about my current opponent, Khamier... waits until 6.48 on the day the battle was supposed to close to post. Perhaps in the hopes of making me lose through a timeout? Wiener. Failed anyway... I just posted another masterpiece featuring pistol-whipping of rancors and Zabraks slipping over in rancor poo. Mwahahahaaa. Anyway, if I win this round, it could be me versus Dalthid (again...) in the final. Shee-yit...

In other news, very little- it’s still all about the KRoS. I want insane participation from you people- let us show the infidels that Naga Sadow is a power to be reckoned with. Frankly, let us show them that we PWN. I know you want to- I can feel the fire of hatred burning within you. Harness that fire! Harness that fire and unleash it in a torrent of burning fury upon this competition! Let us watch those Taldryanite fools writhing in unspeakable agony as the fires of our wrath rain down upon them!! ... uh... yeah. Got a bit carried away, there... but I think you get my meaning. Go participate! And make sure to at least have a go at the combined fiction/poetry event- DOUBLE PARTICIPATION POINTS! So even if you just bang out some half-assed piece of cr*p, you’ll still get 2 participation points- it’s all for the greater good. Or should that be greater evil? Whatever...

Medals, Promotions, Random Gubbins

Much to report this week. This makes Manji happy. Firstly, medals:

Janos, Muz and Lenzar all got Legions of the Scholar for meeting trivia- I got one for guessing Korras’ trivia (I saw ‘pillow-stealing’ and the name Beowulf just jumped into my head =D)

Muz and Lenzar also got Scrolls of Indoctrination for recruiting Kat Pridemore, Kylie Darklighter and Voort SaBinring between them... w00t.

Lenzar and Jasru got Clusters of Fire for pwning the tournaments.

Jasru also snagged a Steel Cross for, quite frankly, pwning. Go Jasru.

And as for Crescents- Phantom got one with an Emerald Star for joint second in the ‘Revenge on Yavin’ comp, I got one with a Sapphire Star for first in that comp and one with an Amethyst Star for first in the ‘Smugglers Run’ comp. See, activity does pay... it gets you medals. And medals get you stuff when Rebirth rolls around. Yay!

Now, promotions:

Kat Pridemore got double-barrelled all the way up to the giddy heights of Acolyte. Congratulations, Kat- keep it up and you’ll go far.

Lech got promoted to Guardian for kicking arse. Congratulations, Lech- now you just need to challenge me to that training match. =D

As for Shadow Academy courses, well...

Kat Pridemore passed the Test of Wisdom, the IRC Basics exam and the MSN Messenger exam. W00t!

Lech passed the HTML Basics exam... I could never attempt that, HTML is waaay too complex for my feeble mind =D

Oh, and I passed the Conflict Mediation exam... not exactly difficult, really. I would recommend anyone who’s taken the Leadership Studies exam to also take Conflict Mediation in preparation for being a leader.

That was a long section... almost longer than the important stuff section. Joy!

The Weird and Wonderful World of Your Aedile...

Humph. Turns out KOTOR 2 wasn’t actually released over here on the 8th, despite every games site I looked on telling me so... grr. Well, I’m going into Manchester on Monday with a friend from high school, so I’ll make sure to pick up a copy then. And while I’m there I’ll get a sweet shot of the skyscrapers (or not) of Manchester from the top of the Urbis museum for my Media Studies coursework. Speaking of which, we did some shooting yesterday after school- found a really cool alleyway with perfect lighting. The only problem was that it started to rain and was bloody freezing. But still, we got to film myself (in a trenchcoat) holding a gun (fake, obviously) to the head of some scally guy who was trying to attack me. Followed by some pithy dialogue...

Protagonist: “Any last words?”

Attacker: crosses himself mockingly “F**k you.”

Protagonist: shrugs “Fair enough.”

Then cut to a shot of some railings with really evil-looking spiky things at the top- and the camera light reflected off the railings as well, and looked red. In Media Studies, red = danger. =D We’re going to get the sfx of a gunshot and play it over that shot so you never see the actual shooting, just the attacker falling to the ground in slow motion in the next shot... cool, neh? ^_^

In Conclusion...

Go and participate in the KRoS! I want to see lots of participation from you people... we have the power to defeat Taldryan, let’s get out there and show them we mean business.
