**House Byss Report

To the shadows we listen

I clean forget about reporting for last week, and I'd like to thank Braecen for covering these. Given that I am on my way out I would rather Braecen have the microphone anyway. This is, therefore, my final report as Quaestor of Byss. I have quite enjoyed my time here, and am most impressed with how much dedication and activity several members of this House have presented; it is truly hard to find members like this these days.

Given that Aedile of my old House has just opened, I may be transferring very soon - I am pretty sure I can raise my hand and grab it without application, though I'd still prefer Tetrarch of the Dark Orb (personal value). I did a little bit of a look around and I'm quite disappointed with how my old House is faring; I hope I have enough time before the next karate tournament to make some difference, particularly since I was part of the problem.

Now before all else, I would like to welcome Cipher back to our House. It is good to see you return home. She has been an excellent presence in this House before, and I hope she will continue to serve this House to the best of her ability. I declare the spire open :D

Welcome, also, to the three who have recently joined us. I hope your time here will be fun and enjoyable.

The War Room

I have three competitions running at the moment. I will continue to maintain them upon my transfer back to Arcona, so be sure to participate where you can - shiny things will be handed out. Each of these finishes on the 30th of March, save the ACC tournament which ends on the 3rd of April. .doc format preferred for the writing competitions.

Filling In

Many Clans like to show off the works of their members, but few do. A vital part of this process is having submissions to display thus, you are tasked with the following: write a short story about what happened to you today (1-3 pages), write a line poem spelling the word cheese, write a haiku of at least 2 verses about time, and another story (of at least one page) involving a llama, a duck, and a star destroyer.

Expression and flow for the poems, creativity for the llama duck star destroyer, and interest for the today story.

Space Pirate Investigation

Space pirate activity has risen sharply over the past month, and the House of Spies has been asked to investigate.

You are to write a story of at least 2 pages, detailing your investigation into an illegal activity of your choice - a kidnapping, an illegal sale/deal, mining operations, whatever you fancy.

Byss ACC Battle

Members of House Byss are to challenge each other in the Antei Combat Centre for the next few weeks.

-3 points for a victory, 1 for a loss. This will decide who earns the Crescents.

-All rounds are to be 6+2.

-Must be Novice or higher to participate.

-All battles must be conducted in the Combat Hall.

-All challenges and participants should be reported to me and Braecen [Log in to view e-mail addresses] so we can keep track of them.

Serve your House and Clan well, as it brings a very rewarding feeling of achievement. This may be an online club, but these are real people that you are working with. These are real lives you can touch and affect. And, to some of us, this is the greatest peace from reality we'll find.
