LucasFilm Lets Go

The Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (aka Episode III) trailer was made available for the general public this past Monday on Star Wars.Com. Until then it was available to AOL and Hyperspace members only... or the computer savvuy people who grabbed it off the HRLD site.

LucasFilm Lets Go, Again

This upcoming week sees the release of Clone Wars: Volume II (Season 2) on the Cartoon Network (Mar 21), Clone Wars: Volume I on DVD (Mar 22), and an apparent re-release of Star Wars: Attack Of The Clones (Episode II) on DVD (Mar 22).

The Cartoon Network is calling Season 2 "Volume II" - I don't know why. It says it on their site.

Also I didn't know EII was so difficult to come by til I went looking for it. I'll admit it - I didn't buy it. When I went to grab it this week I found it wasn't around anywhere. After some investigation it seems that LucasFilm had both EI and EII quietly recalled some time in December... probably to boost sales in the hype of the EIII trailer.

Countdown Begins...

That's right... only five more weeks til Celebration III. Registration cut off is actually April 1st - which is in two weeks. Several DJBers are going to attend! Check the Forums for a Celebration III thread started by Telona.

Beware The Dork Side

Check out this guy and his crazy one-man show. He performs the entire original trilogy using no props or sound effects - just his own voice to mimic characters, weapons, vehicles and muscial cues to take you through the perils of farmboy-turned-Jedi Luke Skywalker. Heh - as much as I knock him for being a big SW geek I wanna see it.

If I told you about my real life you'd all be bored to tears, I'm sure. I'll start off with some personal crap:

I looked at the handicapped guy's computer only to find his MoBo was FUBAR. He flipped out, whining things like "where am I gonna get the money for that?" and "my parents are gonna kill me" until he remembered he paid for the 4 year tech support. There's a reason I told him to do that - I knew he'd screw that system up. As for his money situation, he gets some sort of disability check from the government that pays all his living expenses. Everything he makes at the place where he and I work is SPENDING cash, and let me tell you - he knows how to spend it.

My sister-in-law, her husband, and my wife's step-father all invited themselves over for dinner and a movie this weekend. As I write this I wonder what prompted it - they never, EVER some over. I don't mind too much, except that the house is a mess, which means I'm going to be forced to get up before noon on a Saturday... to clean the house... and that pisses me off.

Ok... enough of that... I'll fill the rest of this little personal space with a few DJB notes that don't really fit the rest of the report.

• Talked with Jac off and on a few times this week and though some of it was DJB business-related we actually had some non-DJB talk for a change. See? It's not all about work with me :D

• Re-redesigned my secret project site which means now I need to code like a mo-fo and get it up. I also have to graphically make it happen.

• Looked into contacting a few of the other clubs we're associated with to try to promote a little more interclub activity in our ICTE nights.

• Looked into recruitment advertising such as banner ads on other sites in the hopes of drawing in more members.
