Greetings Byssites!

Busy week in most departments! Which is good as we are being active, but bad because it seems we are all focused on rising in rank. (Which yes, that is the idea) But we also need to remember that there are more ways than the Shadow Academy to get noticed (and perhaps I have been misleading about this in the past) However, any time you participate in a House Competition we, Cipher and I, log it in our little books and that carries a BUNCH of weight as time goes on!

Long story short: Get cracking on those House Competitions fellow Byssites! And I greatly apologize for any misleadings about the Shadow Academy being the only way to rise... lol which takes me to my normal report...

Shadow Academy

Kimahri passed one course this week: Leadership Applications! Fattness completed two courses this week: Mediation and Krath CORE; good work! Scorpius continued to slaughter courses: Obelisk and Sith CORE exams! James was rocking this week and completed 4 courses: Mediation, IRC Basics, Test of Wisdom and ESET (sith course).. good work!

However one stood above all others this week and will be dubbed my 'Scholar of the Week'. He completed an array of courses: Krath Grammar, Krath Poetry, Krath CORE, Test of Wisdom AND Dark meditation! Congrats and good, strong work this past week Syrus Korodin!

Comings/Goings

None to report of this week... we had a new Apprentice but was rapidly sent to House Ziost as part of an agreement that brought Scorpius and his buddies to the house! So, i guess... Greetings again guys!

Awards (Shineys!)

Four people really stood out this week and we should appluad their efforts to make this House recognized on the Brotherhood wide picture! So lets get started!

Tarak Kor (mini-chi) was awarded a Ruby Star (big honor) for his First place entry to 'Hunt Down and Destroy the Light Jedi'

Lucien raked in a bunch of awards this week from House Competitions. He collected two Emerald Stars for his work on 'Filling In'... good work Envoy!

Aerick was a terror on the boards this week as well, collecting several awards for his work in Filling In: Two Emerald Stars and a Saphire Star! Also, he collected a Ruby Star (big honor)for his First Place entry to the Monthly Topic: Morning Has Broken!

In other news I snagged an Amethyst Star for my First place entry in 'How to Avoid April Fools'. I also collected some stuff from Filling In: Three Saphire Stars and a Topaz Star... go me!

Elevations (new topic)

One of our own has stepped forward and proved himself useless..err... useful in other parts of the Brotherhood! Everyone, let us congratulate House Envoy, Lucien Do'Itek on his recent appointment to ACC:Trainer

Another of our useless members... gah, useful members also took a similar leap outward into the Brotherhood! He has been working with Chi for months now to bring us www.clanexarkun.net and now he has been accepted as a Code Moneky... Congrats to Aerick on Praetor to the SCL!

In other news... I am also useless! :o)

Promotions

Zak Banark was elevated to Novice!

Syrus Korodin was elevated to Acolyte!

James Bellador was elevated to Acolyte!

Scorpius was elevated to Protector and has accepted QUA Cipher as his Master for his Trials of Knighthood!

Was a great week and we take giant steps forward in attaining the goals set out before us! Soon a Clan competition will open up giving everyone opportunities to prove themselves! And not too long after that a Brotherhood wide competition will begin! So gear up now folks... I heavily suggest your attend Mike Halcyon's 'writing workshop' next weekend on Sunday!
