Hi there everyone

It’s been a bad couple of weeks for me lately and everything important just seems to happen on the week when you aren’t feeling at all well so I apologise for not doing the stuff I should be doing.

Firstly welcome to Sato Kahn, since joining the House a few days ago he has surged through SA courses and has passed a sizeable amount. This level of participation is the kind of spirit we all want to see in House Gladius and as such I hope you carry on to be a shining example to everyone with your activity.

Our Aedile, Frosty has been forced to take a rather sudden LOA do to his ISP collapsing in the area and as such he is without internet access. As such I will be temporarily taking over the office of handing out Letters of Commendation until he gets back.

As the end of the month draws near so does the hunt for Gladius’s House Champion. Frosty is currently in the lead however you guys have still got a few more days to put in some hard graft and topple him from his spot.

I would also like to take this time to make a promise to the House, in my opinion my first month in charge of Gladius hasn’t exactly been a sparkling one and for that I apologise, I have been much to ready to let things slide and take far to long to come to completion however from this week onwards that will not be the case. The House Competition which in all fairness should have been out ages ago is being worked on diligently by Frosty and I and we have a storyline that we are happy with as such only the events need developing and fitting in to the story, so if there is any particular kind of event you would like to see in the competition mail your suggestions to me and Frosty and we’ll try our best to put them in.

Another scheme that the House has but one that does not act in its full efficiency in my opinion is the Letter of Commendation plan. The principal of this is sound and is a great way of measuring the level of activity on going in the house however the main problem I find with this is the fact I am not entirely aware of who does what, if someone wins I get a medal report into my inbox and I can note that person’s accomplishment however if a person does not win in the event I will have no idea that the event was submitted to in the first place and therefore your contribution has gone unrecognised by the House. So what I am proposing is if any of you submit to a Krath MT competition, play an ACC battle or take part in any other DB event if you could just mail me and Frosty that you did, for instance if you fought a ACC battle (doesn’t matter if you won or not) mail us the hyperlink so we can note it or if you submit to a KMT forward us a copy of your story. If we can get this system to 100% potential then no-one who is deserving of an award will miss out on achieving one and as such I am happy that the House is active and you, the individual will be happy as you get some shiny medals in your inbox. On this subject I will trawl through my inbox at the earliest opportunity to track down every MP game that has been played and recorded for the past couple of weeks, for those people who played enough to be awarded CFs I’ll correct your LoC count as well.

Wings of Darkness, Gladius’s Sith circle is on the lookout for new members, due to the recent departure of one of its members the circle is down to two members and this isn’t good news. So for any people who are interested in playing specially made single player missions for the circle, MP or perhaps Sith based fiction get in touch with the Battle Team leader Zill and myself and we’ll be more then welcome to allocate you to the squadron. Speaking candidly Zill has recently put a lot of time into learning how to make XWA missions for the Circle and House therefore it would be a terrific shame were he not to be able to put his skills into use.

As mentioned in the above news item one of our number has decided to depart from House Gladius and Clan Tarentum. Dark Jedi Knight Licah Fox has been a terrific help to Clan Tarentum since he joined and from knowing him in this club and another I know his talents will be missed, good bye Licah and hope you can return to us soon.
