Sunflash Resignation

Greetings to all of House Ziost, it has fallen to me to take on the position of Aedile. But I would like to take this time to honor Dark Jedi Knight Sunflash. I have known him since joining Exar Kun and he has proven a talented and capable member not to mention a loyal friend.

When I joined Exar Kun I was a Dark Jedi Knight and Sunflash was just a Guardian. He emailed me and told me straight I had to pull my weight. Clearly showing he was not daunted by rank or position but that he cared deeply for his clan. A worthy trait and I sincerely hope that in time his RL (real life) commitments will free up enough so that he can return to where he belongs. That said he still remains a force to be reckoned within Ziost and will be on hand to serve Exar Kun. So my advice to any in Ziost is to give Sunflash a hearty handshake! :)

Godo who?

So who am I? I thought I’d better let you know a bit about myself, just so you all know what your getting yourself into. My name is Godo Nurok and joined the Dark Brotherhood over a year ago, I first joined Taldryan and from there I worked my way up the ranks earning my lightsaber. I have seen many battles, victories and failures and after serving for a year I decided to move onto a different clan. Taldryan was a mighty clan but it lacked any sense of creativity or ambition for itself, I decided to choose a clan that had a lot to prove and the will to grow and develop. I was actually warned that joining Exar Kun was a mistake. I chose to ignore this advice.

In RL (real life) I work as an IT and Advertisement Manager, actually that’s a rather formal way of saying that anything the company wants, I am told to do. The company specialises in Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars and it’s my job to support the company, so this can involve anything from washing and cleaning a car (wow, cool job) to looking after their IT systems.

A New Power!

So, three months on have I made a grave error? Thankfully I can say not, I would like to think that the person who gave his advice is feeling rather foolish. It’s true there has been a lot of change in Exar Kun over the past three months but we have made incredible progress. I am proud with what’s been achieved, we are winning competition after competition and our numbers continue to grow. We have some truly talented individuals working within the clan and I would hope that we make a great showing in the upcoming Independence Games (IG’s) and the Great Sith War!

Expectations

I would love to see Exar Kun considered the biggest and most successful clan in the entire Dark Brotherhood. I think we’ve made a great start, if we can continue to maintain this momentum I think it’s perfectly achievable. I want to see you all do a few things.

mIRC! I’d like to support Envoy Esca’s message to get onto mIRC. It’s a great program and makes up a fundamental part of being a member of Exar Kun. We want a friendly community of people who enjoy chatting to each other and mIRC allows us to meet and do just that. It’s our primary form of communication and allows you to get noticed!

Competitions & Events! Not only is it fun to join in the many events and competitions running through the Dark Brotherhood but it also allows you to earn some great rewards and promotions. It also increase Exar Kun’s profile amongst the other clans. I think we all have high hopes and expectations for the upcoming Independence Games, I would encourage you all to register and take part when it kicks off. Join in and have fun!

Shadow Academy! For all our newest members this is probably one of the best resources for learning about being an all evil Jedi and also the inner workings of the Dark Brotherhood.

Funny thing happened the other day…

Occasionally I like to dine out and thought I’d enjoy a nice restaurant meal, now is it me or is the quality of service dying on its feet? Firstly we had to get to our table, which you would think an easy task? Alas not, the lights were so dimmed it turned into an assault course where the objective was to get to your table without being maliciously tripped by a table leg! I then sat waiting a long, long time in a restaurant far, far away before being served. The waiter though keen lacked the ability to speak English, this proved an extra challenge in trying to convey my order to the poor devil.

After speaking redicuously loudly in the hope that would make one iota of difference we settled on a Sirloin Steak. Another long, long wait and it finally arrived. Now if I possessed a lightsaber in real life I may have had a hope in cutting through it. Alas I did not, and neither did I have the jaw capacity of a Rancor. Completely inedible!

To cap it all I asked for a glass of White wine and they thought I obviously meant Red!? Unfortunately this is not the end of my sorry tale, for I asked for a Belgian waffle dessert and ‘they’ decided I wanted a cheese cake!
