Konnichi wa, meat puppets. Are you ready for some ultimate pwnage, the likes of which you've never seen before?

Life continues to steam on as normal here in HMR, with many competitions running and many coming up. The one I'm going to talk about first (obviously =P) is the Operation: Frozen Fortress. Battles for the ACC section have been started and many people have already posted- impressive. Manji is impressed. ^^ Although since he's writing as the NPC, he now has seven or eight battles which he needs to fight in at the same time. ¬¬ Manji can take it. The time limit for battles will probably be two weeks, the same as the regular time limit- but allowances will be made if you can't post in that time, obviously. Once all the ACC battles have been finished and judged, the run-on will begin again, continuing from after the ACC battle. So get writing! ^_^

Another big comp currently running is the Sadow Bar Brawl, between Marka Ragnos and Ludo Kressh. Basically, those damn Sithies have insulted our honour, and it's our job to show them that not only can we Krath hold our liquor, we can outdrink those flyboys nine times out of ten. Oh, and we need to kick their arses as well. ^^ Simply challenge someone in HLK to a battle in Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy or the ACC (there may be other events- check http://www.ludokressh.org/brawl.htm for full details!) The winning house gets kudos and the knowledge that they are the most pimp house in CNS, and the highest scoring member gets some kind of reward. Again, check the site for details. ^^

Hmm. As for DB-wide news, the Independence Games have been pushed back- they'll begin on May 19th, coincidentally the release day of Episode III. Keep your fighting hats on, children- once they are unleashed upon us, I want lots of participation. From everybody. And let me put it this way- as is usually the custom after major DB events, I'll go over the records and see who did the most in the House, thus garnering CNS the most points. Rewards will probably be given to those who do the most for the Clan and help us along the path to glory! You have been warned.

That's all I can think of right now... reasons for the somewhat substandard nature of this report will be detailed in the 'Weird and Wonderful' section of the report. Read it. You know you want to. =D

Medals, Promotions, Random Gubbins

Not very many medals this week, for once... Firstly, Lech got a Star of Antei for rocking out hard. Go Lech!

Legions of the Scholar were given to me and Voort for pwning the trivia- sw33t.

Clusters of Fire awarded to Xhedias and Kat for general pwnage in the multiplayer. W00t!

And finally, Kat Pridemore got a Crescent with a Ruby Star for the 'Lannie's Surprise Party' competition. Go Kat!

Oh, and I got a Star of Antei for winning the ACC MVP comp. But you didn't want to know that, right? ^_^

Only one promotion this week- Sharmin Wheyes was promoted to the rank of Novice. Yaay!

And in miscellaneous news, Janos passed the Conflict Mediation course. Yaay!

The Weird and Wonderful World of your Quaestor...

Right. On Friday, Manji had a 'course essay' to write- basically, you get two weeks to write a plan for an essay then you go into a timed exam room and write it. Ours was about Henri III of France, a guy who there's very little information about. Urgh. Then, this morning, I went into Manchester and ended up coming home with some more manga....and..... a LOVELY 30 Watts Spider II Line 6 amplifier for my geetar. With 6 FX and 4 channels- Clean, Crunch, Metal and Insane. ^^ Very fun. And at 7, I'm going out to a comedy night at a place just down the road with a friend of mine, until midnight. Eesh. And then tomorrow I have work from 11 until 5. And I haven't done any of the revision which I was probably supposed to do this weekend. Eep. Oh well. Soon enough I've got exams >< followed by the long, long summer holiday in which there will be much rejoicing and much rock. And much sex. Much, much sex. ^_^

In Conclusion...

Life is hard... the three things which bring me pleasure are rock, the love of a beautiful woman, and all you wonderful people doing lots of stuff and getting lots of medals and promotions. Get to it and make Manji happy! ^_^
