From the Office of the Aedile:

As I’m sure all of you know, I’ve just stepped into the AED position for Nilani, who had to step down for personal reasons. I’d like to thank Nilani for taking the time and the effort to contribute to Aleema; since I left on leave a few months ago, we’ve grown as both a house and as a family, and I think we all owe both Callus and Nilani a great deal of credit for promoting unity in our group.

That being said, I cannot replace Nilani as Aedile, but I will attempt to carry on the traditions of the position. Obviously I’m still in ‘shake-down’ and learning the ins and outs of the position, but within a few weeks I’m sure everything will be good to go. If you have any questions about anything, either DB-related or grounded in the real world, I’m at your disposal; don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

I think we’re in a bit of a lull right now, as the Independence Games have just begun. It’s good to see that we have a few members working at the Shadow Academy. Run and FallenPhoenix, nicely done. Also make sure to say a quick hello to Rube Yiso Bo’Amar, the newest member of House Aleema; I’m sure she’ll fit in well, and hopefully she’ll balance our crazy selves out a bit.

I’ll be e-mailing everyone I haven’t had personal contact with since ascending to the Aedile position sometime during the next week, just to touch base and see what we can work on to improve your experience in the house. That’s about all for me, logistically speaking. Callus and I are discussing a few ideas for competitions and incentives in the house, but for now, we should all direct our efforts into the Independence Games and show the Brotherhood AND the Rebels who’s boss.
