Greetings
Ziost,
Report time!
Been quite a week for Ziost, we have had a HUGE influx of new members
lately, which is great news. And courtesy of Bracen and Esca, some excellent
guides have been sent to all our inbox's. To all our new members, let
me personally welcome you to Exar Kun. One of thee up and coming clans
in the entire Dark Brotherhood. If in doubt about anything, feel free
to drop me an email.
Its an exciting
time for our membership, we have a lot of great projects in the works.
Both in Exar Kun and the Dark Brotherhood as a whole. We also have the
Independence Games on at the moment, so plenty of fun things to do and
now onto business.
No results
to announce this time round, but I do have a new competition for you all
to take part in. It's a nice easy crossword competition, simply follow
the link below and fill in the online crossword. Once you happy with the
answers hit the submit button.

For the winners
we have some nice shiney medals up for grabs. Don't forget to fill in
the tie breaker question in case we have a few members with the same score.
Don't forget we have two members to beat in my competitions, Thran Occasus
and Esca have both won the last two of my competitions, so come on people
defeat them. And to Thran and Esca, you both have a title to defend! ;)
More information
on the event can be found here:

Sometimes
we all have one of those days, we get up and somehow the day just ends
badly. I experienced one such day, it all began with a trip down to London.
My objective to recover a right piece of junk. A Bentley Turbo R, and
as is always the case it was in the very heart of the city. I caught the
train in, and spent the most boring two hours of my life sitting there.
I lacked a good book so was instead subjected to the 'old dear', a kindly
old women who took great delight in talking to me about the important
things in life. Namely the state of the country these days, the war and
anything else of dull relevance.
So, two hours
on and I finally reach London. After battling the vast quantity 'people
traffic' I managed to get to the 'tube'. Funny thing the London underground.
People will rave about it, they will tell you how efficent and useful
it is for getting around. In truth I can't dispute that, it is indeed
a great way to get from A to B. What they don't tell you are the obstacles
you face. It's a bit like the trials of Hercules, it could even be a Jedi
Trial in itself. First there's the ticket, you have two options. The first
method involves the ticket machine, a wonderous device which hails from
the dawn of techology. I wouldn't be to shocked if it had a little mouse
in its wheel to power it! The big chunky buttons and obscure instructions
offer a puzzle in itself, lots of references to Zones and ticket types
etc.
The second
method is the kiosk. This involves you waiting in line, a line which incidently
never appears to move and when you eventually get to the front of the
line you struggle to understand when the heck the guy is trying to say!!
Anyway I
finally get to the carpark, and locate the car I am supposed to pick up.
The problems start when I try and use the alarm pad. Nothing, absolutely
nothing! So I use the key to get into the car, no signs of life at all.
None of the lights go on, no alarm noises, no nothing. It quickly becomes
apparent that the battery is dead, totally and utterly dead. There is
no way this car is going anywhere, let alone 100 or so miles on the motorway.
So after mad negotiations and form filling the owners of the car park
let me have the booster pack to get it started. Thankfully the car springs
into life!
The end of
my woes? Nope, not in the slightest. This particular carpark is protected
by a surprisingly complex securtiy system. In order to leave you need
a specially encrypted security card. Without it, your not going anywhere,
only this card is not in the car!
A few mad
and desperate calls to the MD and it transpires that HE has the card.
More mad negotiations with the management of the carpark, more form filling
and then some more phone calls later and it appears they wont let me leave
with the car. End result? A train trip back home, a whole day wasted doing
nothing! The following day I had to return and do it all over again, hardly
the best day in my life!

**Jedi Hunter
Drodik** is still running his competition which hopefully will earn
him his very own lightsaber and the title of Dark Jedi Knight. Please
help him by entering, I have almost finished my entry so please help.

**Clan Exar
Kun** resides on the planet of Byfrost, a charming place though a little
on the chilly side. The base on Byfrost itself is entitled Castle Byfrost.
Now I am sure there are one, two or even an army of you who are pretty
good at creating a design for Castle Byfrost. So if any of you fancy a
go at it follow this link:

**Don't
forget **that if you ever get stuck for things to do, there are always
plenty of things to do. Keep an eye out for emails detailing events or
competitions. And be sure to check my links, there's the Shadow Academy,
mIRC, messageboards and the Dark Brotherhood web site itself.
Love it
or hate it, it's here and we want to do well.
It's a chance to show off our muscles, lyrical talent and other special
skills. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sign up!
http://www.independencegames.net/independence/index.php?act=register
Once you've
signed up take part in the numerous events on offer:
http://www.independencegames.net/independence/index.php?act=list_events
I dont expect
you to take part in everything, but at least try and do one event, the
easiest I can think of is this event:
http://www.independencegames.net/independence/index.php?act=event_details&id=43
All you have
to do is come up with a line or two for each image. If you can do more
events or even put a bit of effort into it so much the better! Good luck.
Lots of great
activity this week, that's something we definately want to see more of,
so keep it up and lets win the Independence Games! ;)

Godo Nurok
